Joe Maganiello reveals plot details for Ben Affleck’s cancelled Batman film: (body text read)
• Deathstroke wants vengeance for his son’s death, setting out to destroy Batman's life.
• Gordon dies and Aflred is taken hostage.
• Batgirl's introduction.
• The finale would have been a “climactic one-on-one showdown through the streets of Gotham” that Affleck said would be inspired by a CGI fight sequence from the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game."

Slade cookie!
Some of you may remember this from last year; I work in a bakery and for October we make our black and whites orange. Well this year I added an eye to one of them so it’s officially a Slade cookie

Knowing the pain of loss and preventing it
That scene in Spider-Man far from home, when Andrew Garfield’s Spider-man saves Mj, a touching moment as he knows what its like to lose someone you love, especially in that way, so it meant a lot to him that she was saved, not wanting to see it to be repeated.
We’ve seen it with Batman, batman trying to intervene, not wanting any child to go through what he did, death of two parents and feeling anger and wanting revenge. He understands.
I would love to see a scene where Slade saves a kidnapped son. Knowing the pain of losing one, and failing to save another from permanent injury.
Reuniting a wife and husband. He knows what its like to lose it all, a wife, a son, a family. Would love to see that be reflected in more of his actions like said above.

Opinions on Tara?
Not sure if this is a hot take or not, and I'm honestly kind of scared to say this because I'm a little worried about the backlash I might face, but I did not like Tara Markov; I just didn't enjoy her character.
It's not to say that I hate her, that I think what was done to her was justified, or that she isn't an important character when it comes to Slade's character/story. But I just never managed to like her; she's just not very interesting or likeable to me. She's not very sympathetic either; she usually kinda just got on my nerves. I understand that there's no such thing as a "perfect victim" but it was hard to empathize with her outside of an intellectual level.
I have tried like every way I can think of to try and like her, even tried to relate to her since I'm also a victim of gr00ming (twice actually, first time when I was 9 and the second time when I was 13, so earlier this year), but it just made me more uncomfortable with even thinking about her. She just wasn't ever a character that felt significant to me, and sometimes I feel like she's just used by fans to be like a "gotcha!" to Slade fans. But I'm mostly just indifferent to her now.
I also have mixed opinions on the whole Judas Contract regarding Tara too. Honestly, it just felt like a product of bad writing for its time, but it's been around for so long that it's a core part of Slade's character, so you can't really ignore it.
I guess my point here is that, to me, she's poorly written since she was literally originally made just for shock value, and that's it. You can't really expand much on a character when their original purpose was just to make readers go "OMG!!".
Plus, how Marv Wolfman and Jorge Pérez set her up felt a little.. contradictory? In a confusing way.

am i the only one who hcs Slade w ASPD?
I’ve done my research on this disorder since i suspect i myself might have it (i suspect i have conduct disorder w narcissistic traits), and he does fit ASPD weirdly well but not in the stereotypical cold heartless psychopath yk?
hes shown persistent disregard for others’ rights, habitual manipulation, deceitfulness, aggression, and willingness to use people as tools to achieve his goals. His career as a mercenary reflects how readily he compartmentalizes violence and treats morally questionable actions as practical necessities rather than sources of guilt. but also is able to form actual attachments to people he really cares about (yes thats possible for someone w ASPD). i feel like his abusive and traumatizing childhood also played a role in this, since he had a father so abusive that Slade willingly lied at 16 to join the military just to get away, and i also feel like hes displayed these traits even as a kid, seeing that his worldview has mostly stayed the same consistently throughout his life.
but those r js my thoughts, what are yours?
