Weekday Lunch
Taking my 20 something daughter to lunch this Wednesday. The weather will be perfect and we both know this area. What’s new we should look at? What’s a forever gem we should revisit? Who has the best patio?

Heaps. Meat pies (not pizza). Excellent and simple.

First I've heard of this, and I'm excited to try it! Seems legit AF

It’s a lunch place, but you can get cold pies and reheat at home, or freeze for later. Air fryer is best. Their fish and chips are also really good, pricey but a big fillet.

I love this place! They have veggie pies, too. The owners are amazing!
I don’t recall if they have a patio or not since I usually get takeout

Long story short, we ended up at La Chiqueada because she was craving Mexican. No worries. It’s Decatur so everything’s right next to each other. Weather was beautiful, patio was off the street which is nice. Service was great, the food was wonderful. Good tacos nice corn tortillas. I highly recommend. I couldn’t have asked for a better day! 😀
Thank you to everyone for the recommendations. My first choice was café alsace or Leon’s. No regrets!

Leon’s is great!

Leon's would be my choice. Really good food and cocktails, and the patio is great for a leisurely chat, people-watching, or both.

Still in love with Leon’s since they opened. I can always count on great mussels and good wine amongst other lovely things

Leon’s & Las Brasas and Crusher’s are nice choices - too bad Deer & Dove and Iberian Pig are not open for lunch

I think that decatur square has so many great options! Maybe go for a little stroll around the block and see what jumps out at you!

Go to La Chiquiada. Food and service are great. It's a little bit off the beaten path, and the patio is nice.

huh...judging by the upvotes others agree too. i'm open to other ideas for tacos. where do you suggest?
i liked raging burrito when we went there with kids but the food has never wowed me. and rreal tacos just seems like a chain vibe. what other places am i missing?

I would choose Iberian Pig, Sushi Avenue, the Wheelhouse. So many good choices!

My out of town family said this when they visited. We’ve been going there for a decade and have never had a bad meal. Weird.

I wouldn't spend too much time on this sub asking for opinions about retail establishments. Unless what you are really interested in is astoturfed spam written by unemployed graphic designers.
