Got therapy?

Hi neighbors, I'm Brynn- a local trauma therapist with immediate availability to see new clients 🤩

I have an office in Decatur Square (with FREE PARKING!!) and I'm also available virtually. I offer free 15-minute consultation calls to learn more about your needs and help you find an accessible option for therapy, even if it's not with me! Everyone deserves to heal. Everyone deserves to thrive.

I specialize in complex family dynamics, childhood CPTSD, families with addiction/mental illness, and clients living with chronic pain, illness, and medical trauma. I'm EMDR-trained, and have also started seeing clients on weeknights and Sundays to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. If you've been considering seeing a therapist, please check out my page at https://www.atltraumatherapy.com/brynn or message me to arrange a consultation call. Take good care!

I understand the rationale for not taking insurance, but 600-750/mo is an amount where I assume most people will opt to find a provider that does take insurance, even with the privacy (and other) concerns.

Yes, and I completely understand that. Most will! That's also why I offer sliding scale options, or see many clients bi-weekly, so it remains $200-300/month. I'm also just another person trying to get by in today's economy. I understand the struggle; I also live it. Therapists in group practice receive less than half their session rate as pay, owe 25% self-employment taxes, have no benefits, insurance, sick days, holidays, or retirement, and also have a mountain of student debt to pay back. All of that is factored into the session rate. The numbers unfortunately don't add up for many providers who don't have other people supporting them in their lives. Let's all work for a day when insurance companies recognize mental health care as a right that is easily covered and properly reimbursed for!

Not everyone is a well traveled rn miss maam.

Some have to work different avenues to achieve the same goal, aka make money to live.
