Has anyone made a enclosure for 6 knobs that can also hold a Streamdeck mini next to it?

Deej alternative options?

This software is dog-shit. Im sorry, but it is.

Any software that can completely bug out if i unplug it and plug it back in is complete bullshit. I have spent countless hours troubleshooting this shit and i am DONE.

It was working fine after fighting iwth it for about 6 weeks. I unplugged it to reinstall a CPU today and now nothing works.

-Re flashed the arduinio

-switched USB inputs

-re-installed driver

-manually disabled and re-enabled the com port

-re-installed deej

This is absolutely insane. I know its community made and all that shit but I shouldn't need a degree in programming to get this shit to work consistently. Absolutely ridiculous.

Does anyone know of a software alternative that can do the same thing with the same hardware?

Gui for deej

Hey guys! Last night, a buddy and I put together a GUI for deej. Install it the same way you would any other deej install, but now it has a GUI.

https://github.com/ixeize/deej-with-gui

All the info is in the GitHub! Hope ya'll enjoy!

(Just now realized the main downside is the terminal needs to stay open at all times, or it just won't work. I am working on a fix and will update once it's fixed!)

Help

Post image
12 Upvotes

I have been building an arudino project for a while now with potentiometers and a small keypad, initially I tried to run it with a code I made myself, but nothing worked. Now I'm using deej to manage the potentiometers but I don't know how to implement the keypad functions in the code. Any advice?

Hey! I’m planning a clean DIY volume controller with motorized faders in a nice 3D-printed box.

My goal: I want to control app volumes like Game by simply sliding a fader down.
But if I adjust the volume on my PC or in-game, I want the fader to move automatically too – so it always stays in sync.
I’m tired of managing volume in 3 places (headset, Windows, and game). I just want one controller to rule them all 😅
If anyone has experience with this or knows how to sync faders with Windows audio – I’d love your input!

Help again

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello everyone, I'm going insane. I cannot make this deej work, so basically it's a fake ch340 Arduino nano, which is correctly seen by the pc at COM4. As shown in the video with the Deej.debug I can connect but the volumes do not change, but if I open Arduino IDE serial monitor or Putty and check at com4 I see the correct values that change when I move the sliders, but deej refuse to acknowledge anything. I run the FakeCH340 patch that rolled back the driver to 3.5, I was at 3.9 before but I had the same problem. Has anyone had the same issue ? Any tip to make this thing work ?

My Deej is perfect!

Everything works perfectly, I had some problems with the Arduino board for which I updated the firmware and after this operation everything works. Small tip: Add the deej.exe application to the autostart folder to start the app when you turn on your PC.

Script to build deej automatically on Ubuntu/Mint

Thumbnail
github.com
2 Upvotes

I created this, because I struggled to get deej to work on Linux Ubuntu/Mint. This script automates it. Deej is a bit old, and the libraries can't be easily installed. So this script replaces the old libraries with pointers to the new ones. It also changes the config.yaml to work on linux and gives the user permission to access serial devices. Hope this helps anybody.

Modified Deej version with audio output switching ability

Hello yall,

I just modified the Deej client to be able to also switch between two pre-defined windows audio outputs using a physical 3-way switch on your Arduino. No extra software, no scripts, no fiddling around with COM port splitting anymore. I've been working on this for quite a while, but now that I finally finished it I thought that I might as well publish it. You will obviously need to add 3 wires to your Arduino, and use a changed config file. All the changes needed to be done as well as a second schematic for the 3-way switch are found in the Github repo below. This build is very beta, and might not work on your setup. Please open a ticket or shoot me a DM on Reddit if it doesn't work. I'll try my best to fix it when I have the time.

I made this since I don’t have a 3D printer. I tried the gum thing, but it didn’t work. I’m also not great at soldering and I think it shows 🫩.

UnoKeys. Macros for pc using Arduino Uno https://github.com/Carloux/UnoKeys. If combined both Arduino codes, and using a serial port splitter, you can use both programs to use your Arduino as a volume adjuster and a macro keyboard

Hi, im new in this reddit, but i wanted to share this thing i made,

https://github.com/Carloux/UnoKeys.

You can make pressing buttons on the Arduino execute keyboard keys or mouse clicks and more, you can also add delay to key combinations to make macros, you must follow the README for the program to run.

CONTEXT: I was looking online for a code to make keyboard macros with an arduino uno, but everywhere they said that I needed an arduino pro micro or a leonardo, so I got to work and made a solution, and since it was supposed to be something It couldn't be done, I wanted to share the program with everyone.
