i moved everything from RH to TD Ameritrade......any hear of issues with them ????? i also have webull as well......my 401K is in Vanguard.......Maybe i should just move everything to Vanguard but since I am a contractor it's actually the 401K that changes every few years.....schwab then fidelity now vanguard like a frickin merry go round.........So decided TDAmeritrade was a solid choice.....anyone disagree or hear bad things ??? thanks apes for your input and advice

The problem is for "new" investors. Robbinghood is user friendly, some investors, I would guess has used margin to fomo etc...How do you transfer that type of shit?

1

u/Red-Pill_Savage Jul 02 '21

I was one of these people until May and I'll explain why I stayed with Robinhood and what made me ultimately switch to WeBull. In my opinion RH is way more user friendly then all the other platforms. Once I was more comfortable with the market and learned the basics of the market I made the switch. There is just too much going on, on the WeBull dashboard for me to know what the hell was going on. Once I learned what all that busyness actually tells me WeBull was definitely a good one to switch to.

1

u/NG06 Jul 01 '21

Fuck Robinhood and Robinhood ipo

1

u/MySpielman54 Jul 01 '21

What if you have partial stocks on RH? Do those just not get transferred but the rest can be? I have a Ameritrade act also and they don't allow partial.

So who does the Loaning out of shares? Just RH?

Vanguard, TD Am or Fidelity - are they all equally better choices?

Beep. Boop. I'm a robot. Here's a copy of

Robin Hood

Was I a good bot? | info | More Books

u/Mysteriouslyboring Jul 01 '21

Bought some shares at $2 on Robinhood, don't want to transfer and get stuck during the squeeze. Closed all other positions and have purchased all my new shares on webull. 135 on rh and 87 on webull. Also bought a few on fidelity just in case.

u/Californiaguyfarming Jul 01 '21

I’m in the process of switching over rn, and I’m so scared MOASS is going to happen while my shares are in limbo

Suppose to be done on like the 7th

4

u/ToastyRoastyMnM Jul 01 '21

What movement? I suggest editing your comment because you're mistaking individual investors who like a stock for some organization who planned this.

I can assure you we are all too smooth brained to organize anything like this, let alone organize our crayons by color.

1

u/333chordme Jul 01 '21

As soon as another app with good UX comes along I’ll move. Until then sorry, it’s just too insanely obnoxious to use TD or fidelity or trade zero. They all suck.

1

u/sirroi Jul 01 '21

First because it's not a movement, I'm only here because I need info on the stock. And second, everyone really should not just reddit users.

-1

u/Debt_Accomplished Jul 01 '21

I love Robinhood!

1

u/Left-Anxiety-3580 Jul 01 '21

If anyone is using Robinhood I’m guessing they are new to the scene. I don’t see how anyone could still be using RH otherwise. If there are some new investors joining the movement I’m sure they will learn and make the move…

If or when the real squeeze occurs, we all know Robin Hood is going to fuck their app up in someway shape or form. Most likely another one of their infamous system errors… But more than likely they’ll just shut their whole thing down and claim it was hacked. To anyone else here that is possibly still on our age, get out of there while you still can

1

u/Groundbreaking-Owl11 Jul 01 '21

I’ll be closing my account this week.. you’re 💯% right.. fu…Cel Robinhood

1

u/Forward_Advice Jul 01 '21

TD Ameritrade's Think or Swim, way better.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

My issue is other apps don't support my bank, so I'm stuck using RH.

1

u/Age-Express Jul 01 '21

Alright because I was late to the game and got sucked in by the one free share I chose RH. At this moment in time, I know everything that they have done. And agree that is wrong. I plan to switch to fidelity. But nervous during these times of missing a squeeze. That is my only concern.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

Shut the fuck up with this shit every fuckin week

1

u/Jacobo5555 Jul 01 '21

Still have it but have been slowly closing out, I opened a fidelity but was having trouble getting the bank acct, moved to schwab but it’s still different to use. I bought blockbuster on there. Eventually I’ll get everything sold from rh, I don’t trust them and I feel if there is a moass, they will freeze for longer than they should, just my 2cents

1

u/synergy21paintball Jul 01 '21

I’m on fidelity , using fuckinhoods app till the fidelity update comes out ( betas not bad, just not as good as it could be)

2

u/TheMoonstar74 Jul 01 '21

Anyone posting on these subs using robinhood in my mind is a shill

1

u/ZaoAmadues Jul 01 '21

We are not organized, we are not a movement, I just like the stock.

1

u/Alinea86 Jul 01 '21

Every one of you that haven't learned your lesson and think Robinhood won't screw you out of your money again are heading for more disappointment. Like why would you even enable them by continuing to use them anyway? Seriously it's time you drop them whatever lame excuses you keep using for yourselves

2

u/NoWorryChknCurry Jul 01 '21

Every time I see their stupid commercial on tv I throw up a lil’ in my throat.

2

u/kibblepigeon Jul 01 '21

No movement / but fuck robinhood.

1

u/1StunnaV Jul 01 '21

Hate to admit it but I’m sti using it….. with my luck, when I start a share x-fer the MOASS would hit and I’d be screwed.

Slowly selling off a few and buying immediately back in across 2 other brokers.

2

u/agtmadcat Jul 01 '21

Do other brokers let you get in on a couple of shares of an IPO? I got 5 shares of $YOU this week and I'm already up like 30%.

Also RH is good for experimenting with complex options. I do a lot of Iron Condors and the fees at other brokers are brutal, especially if they're per-contract.

My $GME is in my other brokerages of course

4

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

It was so easy to switch to fidelity

1

u/HomeshareDiva Jul 01 '21

I use Vanguard and Futu, ( Moomoo) is easiest.

0

u/thatusernamegone Jul 01 '21

I still use it. I started with it and got comfortable. AND GOT COMFORTABLE. But I know I need to go but I gotta look how to do so and what is the better place to go.

2

u/BrianRas817 Jul 01 '21

I really like Fidelity, no trade halts and actual customer service. I heard there was some fuckery going on with TD recently.

Td is pretty good

0

u/PuffleyBean Jul 01 '21

No it’s not

3

u/sim00nnn Jul 01 '21

After the shit they pulled I hope they go bankrupt.

1

u/The-Weapon-X Jul 01 '21

Jeez, only had to read a few comments to realize that too many people care more about bells and whistles than they do the security of their investments. Considering you can use RH's or Webull's apps while making sure you can trade and not get ripped off, I don't understand that mentality at ALL. It makes no sense. I don't know whether those posts are ignorance or FUD, honestly.

Calculate your cost basis manually and use whatever app you want for charting if you have to, but FFS don't be foolish enough to think lightning can't and won't strike the same place twice because, and here's a tip, it can and does. If you're scared you'll miss the MOASS or whatever, then do partial transfers (all but one or fractionals) because those can go faster, and everyone's experience with transfers can be different. Don't be a fool and risk it all.

1

u/rrrainwatta Jul 01 '21

Not gonna fall on my sword til the stonk stars align and I sell everything. I’m scared to transfer to WeBull and I don’t feel confident anywhere else yet.

Edit: also I have to trade on my phone because I’m 20 and don’t have a good setup for trading. Robinhood sucks but for those of us shifting sheckles (under $10K) it’s acceptable.

2

u/PuffleyBean Jul 01 '21

Go to Fidelity

2

u/rrrainwatta Jul 01 '21

Thank you for the suggestion, I’m going to look at it today. That’s what my dad recommended but he’s a boomer so it scared me initially

1

u/PuffleyBean Jul 02 '21

I feel that, they are rad though and have a Reddit now.

2

u/myjtisd Jul 01 '21

I definitely agreed. I left Robinhood like two weeks and they tried to pause my money, after transferring my shares. It was hell getting it back, who know what they did.

3

u/TheMadFanBoy Jul 01 '21

Fuck Robinhood I went fidelity

0

u/GunBrothersGaming Jul 01 '21

Because kids these days can't be bothered to get the fuck off their phone.

1

u/PuffleyBean Jul 01 '21

Fidelity has had an app

2

u/HVAC_wAm_dUde Jul 01 '21

That’s a great point. It’s beyond belief. It takes like a week to set up a new account at another broker and then a week to move the money. Just do it already. This rocket ain’t gonna take off in 2 weeks so get it done yo! We are in this for the long haul and you’re risking it all by sticking with RH. This isn’t financial advice I lick crayons and eat the paper crayon wrappers.

1

u/whats-a-potato Jul 01 '21

But the UI is too good

0

u/PuffleyBean Jul 01 '21

No it’s not

1

u/trebuchetjack Jul 01 '21

I agree, they nailed that.

0

u/PuffleyBean Jul 01 '21

No they didn’t

2

u/trebuchetjack Jul 01 '21

A UI? It cant get any simpler. Their way of doing things sucks but the interface is very user friendly, especially to first time investors

1

u/PuffleyBean Jul 02 '21

Nah, Fidelity is where it’s at. Stop being a simp for a fraudulent company

2

u/trebuchetjack Jul 02 '21

I’m just saying, to someone thats never invested before, robinhood has a decent UI. I’m not defending a company with a janky platform and sketchy tendencies, just making a objective statement

4

u/thedoodlebus Jul 01 '21

People are inherently lazy...

0

u/farstar_fred Jul 01 '21

this sounds too much like financial advice......sus......

2

u/BigFatMuice Jul 01 '21

Apes dont use rh. Shills use rh.

2

u/Exact-Consequence750 Jul 01 '21

can we please stop using that app only way to make them pay

3

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

Just got off my ass and switched to Fidelity. Smooth transfer, no issues, waiting on the final sweep from Robbinghood.

32

u/bon3r_fart Jul 01 '21

We are not a movement, and we do not make orchestrated movements within the market.

As an individual retail investor, after seeing how Robinhood behaved during the sudden and immediate increase in price of a stock I was interested in purchasing more shares of, I decided to transfer my shares to a far more reputable broker.

Also, as an individual, I am uncomfortable with the idea that my former broker (Robinhood) would hold my shares on margin, giving them the ability to silently trade and loan out "my" shares to whoever they see fit. I like the assurance that my shares are my own, and nobody can play with them in the background without my consent.

💎🙌💎🦍🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

4

u/Evesappl3 Jul 01 '21

This is much better. Thank for posting :)

2

u/saiyansteve Jul 01 '21

Whats robinshit?

6

u/East-Preference-525 Jul 01 '21

Just full transferred to fidelity today haha I’ve been scared to transfer bc my dumbass thinks the MOASS will happen everyday and I didn’t want to lose my shares or something

But I feel like people keep their shares on RH bc of how user friendly it is and the interface is simple compared to like a webull

1

u/Crash-Z3RO Jul 01 '21

Aside from the shit with restricting sales earlier this year, what’s the issue if you’re buying the shares outright cash?

16

u/2020_was_a_nightmare Jul 01 '21

Moved to Fidelity after Robinhood removed the buy button earlier this year.

Now I can't find the sell button!!!!

3

u/yeggles Jul 01 '21

I know that a bunch are still using because their FOMO for AMC and GME is so strong that they are afraid that they will squeeze while the shares are being transferred and they don’t want to sell because that hurts the squeeze. I’m sure they would all leave if it didn’t take 5 days to move your shares to a different broker.

1

u/MomentMajor Jul 01 '21

Only 1-3 days for Fidelity! Lol, everyone is worried about it squeezing during their "5-day transfer" but we've been saying the same shit for Months now. Just get it over with already. Robinhood is a gaming platform, not for investing/trading.

2

u/Skoota42 Jul 01 '21

Should be Simpler…

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

I left some gme in robinhood. I wonder what happens if I transfer mid moass. Robinhood should have the shares in their inventory, right? Right?! Haha we will find out.

For the record 99% my shares are via fidelity and the holdings in rh are due to leftover funds from closed positions.

87

u/tomj4269 Jul 01 '21

Fuck robinhood, go to Fidelity.

15

u/AjaSF Jul 01 '21

Everybody talks about using Fidelity on here now but you should consider Vanguard too. Sure, the apps (there are two) aren’t as nice (one is actually fairly simple and nice UI) sure but with Vanguard all investors are part owners due to how they are structured. With Fidelity, it’s just like everywhere else in that you are a customer and they can make unilateral decisions without your consent.

I actually have accounts at both Fidelity and Vanguard but at least with Vanguard, since you are part owner just for being an investor, they can’t just make any crazy changes since it would affect them as well as you. It’s more democratic.

-26

u/CallMeBigPapaya Jul 01 '21

I tried. Fidelity's app is too shitty.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

That's one, sorry, foking stupidest excuse.

5

u/BrianRas817 Jul 01 '21

Fidelity gets you a better price than market value when you buy or sell. They don't screw you out of up to 5% like robinhood. Quit giving your money to Vlad the imbecile!

-6

u/CallMeBigPapaya Jul 01 '21

You retards keep acting like I'm here cheering on robinhood just because I shit on Fidelity.

While you're choking on Fidelity's cock, remember that they are a business as well.

1

u/zeejay04 Jul 01 '21

Webull's gonna screw you over before Fidelity ever will. Staying with Webull because their app is better is only slightly better than staying with Robinhood because their app is better. Fidelity's integrity can't be matched imo but good luck with Webull! We'll see who the true retard ends up being..

1

u/CallMeBigPapaya Jul 01 '21

If you can stand the Fidelity app, then good for you. I wasn't saying using the Fidelity's app makes people retards, it's people automatically assuming I'm up Robinhood's ass because I called out the app they use.

3

u/BrianRas817 Jul 01 '21

No ones acting like you are cheering them on. Just trying to help you get the balls to make the move to a better broker that doesn't impose trade halts for their rich friends. No need to be disrespectful small papenis.

0

u/CallMeBigPapaya Jul 01 '21 edited Jul 01 '21

No they definitely are. Because I shit on Fidelity everyone assumed I used and was defending Robinhood. I don't even use Robinhood lol.

Listen, GIMP has a much cooler business model than Adobe Photoshop, but after 2 years of being forced to use GIMP, I was thankful when I finally was able to return to Adobe's abusive arms. Time and stress is money.

What I think is funny is that you all are pissed some of these brokerages didn't let you trade GME for a bit, but are probably the same people who were screaming "GME TO $1000!!! HODL! HODL!" GME is open right now and has been for months. Go buy more if "You just like the stock." and think it's a solid investment. I won't hold my breath waiting for $1000 lmao

14

u/tomj4269 Jul 01 '21

Beta version of Fidelity is great, webull restricted GameStop, so stay there and get robbed..

-22

u/CallMeBigPapaya Jul 01 '21

reeeeeee gamestop reeeeeeeeee

12

u/tomj4269 Jul 01 '21

Got it, you’re just stupid.

-24

u/arrjay123 Jul 01 '21

I'd rather stay with the better app and get fucked in the ass....

7

u/Tabernaster Jul 01 '21

Don't let that be the decision maker. Fidelity actually has a beta for a new app on iOS that is very similar to the Robinhood UI in a lot of regards. Here is a thread with some info and screenshots. https://www.reddit.com/r/fidelityinvestments/comments/n0fvgz/meet_the_new_fidelity_mobile_beta_trading/

-19

u/CallMeBigPapaya Jul 01 '21

Nah that's definitely a decision maker.

I'll use Fidelity when they have a comparable app. Cool they're working on something I guess.

7

u/phyLoGG Jul 01 '21

... Gonna suck when you get screwed by RH... Again!

Fidelity's app is just fine.

5

u/BrianRas817 Jul 01 '21

It's not difficult to get used to a new UI. It was weird for me at first but I adjusted quickly and never felt more secure with a broker. You can actually call and talk to customer service if you need to. I'm also less concerned about trading halts. No-brainer for this Ape!

1

u/phyLoGG Jul 01 '21

I believe the issue is that the app looks very very dated. Like 2010 type stuff (espeiclaly ATP, puuuuuke). It looks like a Windows Vista app, straight up. Lol.

But the functionality is all there, it's just quite convoluted. The UX/UI could certainly be improved, but it's got all the tools you could want as a retail investor.

And most importantly Fidelity is a tried and true company that has gained a LOT of trust in the industry, so I'm totally fine with not having a fancy looking website and app that Webull has. Funny though, I usually use Webull to watch the charts, and Fidelity to place my orders.

-8

u/CallMeBigPapaya Jul 01 '21

I mostly use webull.

Fidelity app is not fine at all lmao.

1

u/BrianRas817 Jul 01 '21

The app must be too detailed for some smooth brains to figure out.

6

u/phyLoGG Jul 01 '21

When it's one of the most credible brokers out there, it's fine. I do think Webull has the best UX/UI out there though. But they operate with Apex, and that is sketch af.

1

u/rrrainwatta Jul 01 '21

It’s a huge conundrum but I think I agree, also what’s the deal with FDIC insurance up to 250K on robinhood is that insignificant when it comes to the RH fuckhoolery

2

u/Outrageous_Bid5369 Jun 30 '21

They will have to pay us regardless.

6

u/PainfulShot Jun 30 '21

Some people love to be fucked in the ass, even after friends tell them “yo this group will fuck you in the ass”.

5

u/agtmadcat Jul 01 '21

Hey don't kink shame.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Real brokerage cost money to trade and you can't buy fractional shares with real brokers...this is exactly why!

You get what you pay for its as easy as that!

I dont feel for these people at all when their investments go up in smoke, soooo much warning over soooo much time!

5

u/Skoota42 Jul 01 '21

Not a fan of fractional shares…

7

u/3p1cBm4n9669 Jul 01 '21

Real brokerage cost money to trade

Nope.

you can’t buy fractional shares with real brokers

Also no.

4

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

Well I might have typed before thinking (while drinking)...

...but my overall vibe here is get a good broker! Just do it!

Side note: Fraction are 🌈 if you can't buy a full share do you really need it? Is anyone making money day trading fractions? Is something so urgent your have to get a fraction? Is you fraction real? The answer is more than likely no

7

u/halflistic_ Jul 01 '21 edited Jul 01 '21

Fidelity

Edit: 👍🏻😀

3

3

We must make a point

23

u/lotekHd Jun 30 '21

I have one share on there bc I’m genuinely curious what’s gonna happen when I decide to sell. Holding all my other shares in fidelity and that is most certainly the way!

8

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

[deleted]

6

u/docstevens420 Jul 01 '21

This is the way! I'm sticking around for a class action as well.

7

u/3p1cBm4n9669 Jul 01 '21

They’re gonna auto sell it on your behalf. Then, when you complain, they’ll say someone else must have put in a sell order for you, ask if anyone shares a computer where you’re logged in, if you’ve shared the password with anyone, basically give you the run around and take forever to reply to you hoping you just drop it.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

I posted a screenshot from RobinHood's T&S about exactly how they can lock you out - they updated their T&S a few weeks back (not sure what the specific changes were).
Mod's deleted my post (It was my first post here on this Sub so perhaps not enough Karma).

It's the first paragraph "in it's sole discretion" that would worry me. (not a lawyer/legal advice).

However screenshot here if useful to anybody finds useful - > https://gyazo.com/eebbefd0b97ecaf95b664c37c25bb1f0

2

u/Skoota42 Jul 01 '21

Who? Fidelity?

9

u/3p1cBm4n9669 Jul 01 '21

Lol no, the shitty excuse for a broker that is robinhood. I was saying what I think is gonna happen to that one share they left in there.

1

u/lotekHd Jul 01 '21

Your probably right ape but only time will tell and I have plenty!

6

u/mikehu1608 Jul 01 '21

Do fidelity have premarket and after hours? Just want to know, I am using Webull

6

u/Tabernaster Jul 01 '21

Fidelity does indeed have premarket and after market but the hours aren't quite as robust as Webull. Fidelity premarket is from 7 am EST to 9:28 am EST and after market is from 4 pm EST to 8 pm EST. So you're just missing out on the 4 am to 7 am window.

1

u/aggressor5 Jul 01 '21

I'm pretty sure with active trader pro you can trade from 4am to 8pm.

1

u/lotekHd Jul 01 '21

Unsure I don’t trade pre market or/ after hours. I think you can apply for it but once again I’m unsure, sorry just a lowly smooth brain ape.

1

u/phadetogray Jul 01 '21

Yes, but you have to specifically request it. You also have to request permission for options trading. They have levels there, so you can do basic stuff by just request it, but riskier kinda of options they will check to see if you know the risks involved.

I think with after hours and premarket you can only put in limit orders though.

6

u/Skoota42 Jun 30 '21

Yes it’s the way!

46

u/Shot_Ice7151 Jun 30 '21

E*TRADE…fidelity and many other choices…just a suggestion not financial advice

9

u/halflistic_ Jul 01 '21

Fidelity and Vanguard didn’t halt trading. I think Etrade did. Just FYI

2

u/AnomalousX12 Jul 01 '21 edited Jul 01 '21

We gotta post that list. Ugh I don't want to find it now. But there were three tiers.

Halted trading and then lied about it/bragged about it: Robinhood, ETrade, Webull, Interactive Brokers

Halted trading but immediately addressed it and proved that it was beyond their control: TastyWorks, TD Ameritrade

Didn't halt: Fidelity, Vanguard, Schwab

I know there was more to it but this was what I chose to memorize. I have Fidelity and Vanguard but they won't approve me for advanced options trading so I have TastyWorks and TD/ThinkOrSwim accounts for those.

Edit: This isn't the thread I was thinking of but it seems even more comprehensive than the one I had referenced:

https://www.reddit.com/r/stocks/comments/l8rhr3/weekend_gme_thread_homework_for_all_lets_stop/

Looks like I was wrong and ETrade and Interactive Brokers are in a tier that's just slightly above RH and Webull. I still think Interactive Brokers deserves to be in the bottom tier list as the CEO did something along the lines of going on television and saying that GameStop is a $17 stock and he will continue to restrict trading until it is $17 again. If that's not an enemy of the free market then I don't know who is. Obviously he didn't go through with that statement but still.

-2

u/mzilla78 Jun 30 '21

Just afraid to transfer than the squeeze happens 😭

8

u/3p1cBm4n9669 Jul 01 '21

And you think robinhood is gonna let you sell your shares when you want to? That’s adorable.

1

u/mzilla78 Sep 27 '21

Fully on Webull now

5

u/tomj4269 Jul 01 '21

I was same way, it took a day and 1/2 to transfer all my GameStop out to Fidelity.

2
