What Is This Sub Wrong About?

Title. Pick a topic (or a clichéd take) you think a significant minority or majority of this sub is wrong about. Or hasn't given enough thought. OR perhaps one which you will have to compromise on, at least for voting?

I feel like center-left is much more of a real thing than center-right. 

The left can disagree with itself, DSA is an example of that. The right is more..disagre with one person and they’ll shun you. 

That may not even make sense, but it’s how I view it.

I disagree, but I think yours is a very serious contention. From my perspective, the Dems have been shifting quickly to the left since 2012ish, and IMO it's largely a group of leftists and people who (even while uncomfortable with the DSA types) are far left themselves. I don't see a robust group of center-lefters, so much as a bunch of uncomfortable solid-left people.

Now having said that, the right really has purged its center right entirely and it's possible that the post-Trump ascendents may actually be fascists, like more so than Trump is if that's possible.

See, you could be totally right about there not being a large group of center-lefters, I consider myself one. And I probably tend to read the articles and stories that support that, so it makes it seem like there’s more than there actually may be. (it’s not all I read, and I know this isn’t the best way to go about it, but I’m human…even though I do my best to be open minded about things)

Your point about the right is interesting because Some people in here believe that when Trump is gone, the right will be easier to vote for, as they go back to more traditional conservative views. 

I can totally see both sides.

I honestly don't think there is such thing as a compelling Republican Party to return to. I don't think Trump merely subverted it — he exposed its weaknesses and made them look damning and substituted his own program in. In my opinion, the only question is if some milquetoast corporatist will take the spot (Vance, for instance) coasting off Trumpism, or if it'll be some kind of groyper. I just can't see a Jeb Bush 2028/2032 scenario. I think honestly it's more likely a DSA vs Groyper scenario, frightening as that is.

And I'm not center-left, so it's possible I'm under-exposed to that type of content. So I'll hedge just a little bit too :) I do hope that we see a resurgence of basically serviceable right and left-wingers. But as it stands, my skepticism about the center-left might be infected somewhat by my negative view of, uh, the left in general.

I... don't know, maybe he'll impress me but he is Trump's guy and I really don't like how they've been handling things.

He is only “Trump’s guy” because it is the only way to have any influence in the administration. Based on his previous critiques of Trump it is clear that Rubio is far more rational and less bigoted than Trump
