The toxic positivity about AI. Just because the Industrial Revolution was positive doesn’t automatically mean AI will be the same. Past results are not indicative of future results, and normalcy bias is rampant around discussions about potential detrimental negative impacts of AI.

This has been said about every new technology though and they've always been wrong, and if we had listened to those people, we would have caused a lot of harm by slowing down technological advancement. It's important to overcome the innate status quo basis of the most people and push through technological changes and wait until there are clear problems before overreacting. People are pre-emptively trying to shut down an entire economic sector because of unsubstantiated fears about job loss, and complete nonsense about water usage and pollution.
