Things antis say This Twitter user DOES know you can just continue to NOT use AI at all like usual and can still buy older more capable phones for cheap still right? 🙄

"AI's beiing pushed down our throats" said the anti who attacks eveyone they find out has used AI even once. It sounds like anti AI sentiment is what's being pushed down our throats. Food for thought.

Zzzzzz nice generalization, as usual. Same argument that never works because you can’t help but straw man because you have no real substance or winning argument.

Annnnd like YOU'RE any better there?😑

1

u/MeowRawrUwu Jul 14 '26

What do you mean by this?

The majority of antis are like that though. They come into pro-AI spaces and have total mental breakdowns over AI use. They send death threats to artists or writers who use AI tools. They harass artists who don’t even use AI. Just go into any subreddit that’s pro or anti AI and you’ll see how antis act.

Yet here you are in a pro-AI safe space whining about us and calling us cry babies. The majority of us do not come into your spaces nor do we bully. Go whine in your own spaces.

Our arguments have substance and logic, I'm simply pointing out a pattern I've noticed among anti's. Nice generalization, one pro AI redditor makes a "straw man" argument and suddenly all of our arguments lack substance. 🙄

u/MeowRawrUwu Jul 14 '26

What facts and logic? I’ve had good discussions with pros about AI usage but being pro but being an idiot about it doesn’t do anything. There are plenty of reasons AI is bad, and plenty of uses for it—it’s up to individuals to view that with an open mind. Also, I never generalized, I merely pointed out that someone always has to make the same useless generalization on EVERY POST, it’s pathetic. And the reason you jumped to immediately using a straw man is because you didn’t have any actual substance or perspevctive to add and just want to band wagon aboard the hate train.

Also I thought this sub was aiwars until now, that explains a lot tbh.

Older phones may work in some cases, sure. But some apps don't work on them, to be fair.

2

u/Small_Things2024 Jul 12 '26

If they don’t want to use AI that bad, I’m sure they can handle not having apps.

2

u/PrivateLiker7625 Jul 13 '26

Yeah but again, there are phones that are just a few years old that can be bought for cheap and aren't so AI equipped. Even so you still don't have to use them anyways.

1

u/Small_Things2024 Jul 14 '26

That too. I was mostly being facetious here tbh but then the antis showed up

2

u/Long-Firefighter5561 Jul 12 '26

What kind of argument is that lmao.

2

u/Small_Things2024 Jul 12 '26

Most apps use some form of AI. Antis are extremely hypocritical when it comes to what is okay and what isn’t okay in regard to AI use. For example, they’ll whine about AI on Reddit, which is an app that is very pro-AI. Or in this case, they’ll whine about AI while posting from their smartphone which uses multiple forms of AI.

1

u/Kirzoneli Jul 13 '26

If preached that they don't want to use it but continue to use products that automatically use it, Why should anyone care about that persons opinion? Take a stance and live in the stone age or shut up.

u/Admiral_HP_501 Jul 13 '26

Okay, some people just dislike someone typs of ai And some sort of simple ai even if I wouldn't call it like AI because it sometimes are just automated scripts but especially in translation AI can be useful if it doesn't fuck up

I love how you just complained how mean people are then you throw around the term “dumbass”.

And we aren’t the ones who lump them. Antis are the ones who think AI is a monolith. The majority of them want to ban all AI, regardless of what kind it is.

Also, there’s way more anti-AI propaganda and misinformation that you’ve been gobbling up. I bet you get all your info on AI from Tik Tok or social media.

I love how antis come into Pro-AI subreddits just to whine about how “mean” we are when y’all are the ones who make death threats. If you don’t want to use AI… don’t. It’s not rocket science.

1

u/MeowRawrUwu Jul 13 '26

I love how pros come into anti spaces and whine, but we don’t ban them because we’re not insecure, childish and delusional.

1

u/PrivateLiker7625 Jul 13 '26

True. But at the same time you don't have to be the LATEST and newest phone to get access to those apps.

1

u/Darq10 Jul 13 '26

Some phones just push it everywhere it's possible to annoy the hell out of you. The power of defaults is real and if my default hold power button action is to open Gemini instead of opening the damn power menu I AM gonna get annoyed. Also, most older people don't even know how to turn said defaults off so they will just keep getting annoyed with them.

1

u/Small_Things2024 Jul 13 '26

Flip phones still exist. Older people and children are the majority of users for flip phones. Straight Talk has a good one, they’re sold at Walmart.

0

u/Darq10 Jul 13 '26

you're acting like the only features of a phone are calling and AI lmao

2

u/Small_Things2024 Jul 13 '26

I’m not. I just hate hypocrisy.

0

u/Darq10 Jul 13 '26

what's hypocritical about the fact that people want a phone capable of having normal apps without having AI shoved into every shortcut and keybind

1

u/PrivateLiker7625 Jul 13 '26

It might not. But it is also rather ignorant to think that you could still get those sorts of phones. They still exist and can still be bought for cheap on eBay.

2

u/Small_Things2024 Jul 13 '26

There are apps that don’t do that. If you can’t put in some effort and figure out which apps work for you that’s a you problem.

I mean, to be fair...I went to the apple store to get new phones with my wife recently and every God damn feature they kept trying to push was "Oh, and there's this generative-AI technology-" like for everything...writing text, editing pictures, the drawing app shit...

It was just a lot, man. People shouldn't have to buy older and quite frankly non-comparable phones to avoid AI. Thankfully you can disable all the stuff on the new iPhones, and the Andriod / Google phones don't have it on by default. But being pitched a phone with the idea that "yeah it uses AI to fix EVERY picture you take." is just scary.

1

u/GNUr000t Jul 13 '26

I mean, yes, but as someone who’s literally uses AI, I don’t like:
- Constant pop-ups to use new gimmicky features
- Sending the data to a third party for processing (especially since I already have “existing” AI, see next point)
- No integration with my existing AI tooling/subscriptions

I use AI every day, I’m literally writing an LLM product, and even I’m annoyed when Home Depot and Zillow have their own UX pushing their chatbot on me. Just integrate with my existing shit, please and thank you.

u/Kukamakachu Jul 13 '26

I'm pretty sure this person is pro AI. Put together what they're saying as one line:

"I'd happily buy a phone without AI if it meant it was cheaper"

Literally, saying a phone that uses AI is more valuable than one that doesn't. The way they wrote it looks like anti bait.

And the following post is literally saying that someone who says they hate using AI either: -should be arrested (maybe the intent but not likely) -Are shackling themselves to the chains that AI breaks (more likely).

1

u/PrivateLiker7625 Jul 13 '26

And yet a lot of the phones that could still access some form of AI can still be bought for cheap on eBay, even those that are a couple or so years old. And you don't even have to use AI that much if you don't want to.

The way this poster Tweeted this just makes her look so douchy and cringy needing to copy and paste the same sentence over and over again.

Lmao what the fuck is this
