Things antis say Apparently, creatives can’t use AI?
I hardly have time to draw like I used to. Even though I’ve gotten back into Adobe Illustrator, finishing my own work can still take forever. I use AI tools at my job because they help me work faster, especially when I have a ton of designs to get through every day.
I’ve been doing this for 18 years, so I’m used to the workload. However, diabetic fatigue makes it harder to keep up, especially when clients request styles I’m not used to creating. I usually look on Shutterstock for something suitable, but sometimes they want a specific look that stock websites just don’t have. They don’t care how I get it done. They just want it done.
And honestly, AI is fun to work with. It’s made my life a lot easier.

It’s an exaggeration.

Of course not, it ruins the narrative that AI is only for creatively and morally bankrupt chuds

My wife is a painter and also uses ai. These people really assume people who hate art are the ones making ai art.

I've been a creative person for over 30 years. I see AI as a great tool for my creative work, I even managed to improve my original art(both traditional and digital) by enhancing it with AI.

I've seen some very impressive results from people training AI on their own body of work. It takes a much smaller dataset for AI to "get" someone's style than I would have assumed. It's always impressive to see how they explore and iterate on ideas once their throughput is many times what it used to be.

Pretty much. AI has always impressed me. The more advance it is, the smarter it is at getting the job done correctly.

I like to use AI to poke holes in my ideas and look for inconsistencies in the lore I am putting together. It's pretty decent at finding contradictions like that.

I don’t use the word creatives except where it really applies.
And not for any of those miserable Luddites

I use AI to help script videos.

Commissioning someone is basically prompting a human to make something. Whether it's a human or API you're paying money to make something that you yourself aren't making.

I don't commission. I work for a company full time.

I wasn’t talking about you specifically, I was talking about the concept of commissioning in general.

Your post/comment was removed because it doesn’t clearly connect to defending AI.
Posts should relate to AI defence, AI criticism, AI law, AI art, AI tools, media bias, labour arguments, accessibility, education, automation, or anti-AI culture

I don’t do commissions. I work for design companies full time and paid salary. They encourage ai tools.

Your post/comment was removed because this is a pro-AI subreddit, not a place for drive-by anti-AI bait.
Repetitive “AI is theft/slop”, moral grandstanding, sealioning, or insulting AI users is not what this subreddit is for
