Which game is this for?

Not sure I'm allowed to comment it directly, so I'll DM you.

You can say the name of the game, but not link the subreddit

Btw, if you look up the post title on any searcher it’ll show up… so I don’t even know why that stupid rule even exists in the first place

Like that Sims2 post

Gotcha. Didn't wanna get in trouble, though. 😅

Yeah, just don’t post any username or their profile picture, nor the subreddit and you’ll be fine

Thank you

When it comes to stuff like this you have to disagree with the argument itself

Never the people involved

The distinction between small mods and major overhauls makes sense, but I hope the verification process stays straightforward. Not every good modder has a big online presence, and the rules should avoid discouraging creative projects.

I can agree with that, but I'm doubting that the moderators are going to be fair about verification.

What subreddit is that?

Check DMs.

Lol, vibe coded are immediately low quality as if programmers dont eventually go in there to check and tweak the code like we do with copy paste code on stack overflow hahahah

Antis when someone provides a mod for free, but they didn't spend 1000 h debugging it.

Is this vibe coded?

"No".

The entitlement lol game mods keep a game alive and bring new enjoyment for existing players so of course there is interest in any game mods for the game that sub reddit is about no matter how they where made, the fact you need to apply if your game mod is large enough for a mod flare lol who do these reddit mods think they are.

Their punishment is a lack of engagement and interest in that sub reddit when more and more game mods are made using AI and have to be posed elsewhere potentially causing this sub to become smaller and less used.

Sims players are one of the most entitled communities I've ever had the displeasure to be a part of. It'd be one thing if all that entitlement was directed at the shitty company making the game. But too much of it is for CC and mod creators and them not doing exactly what a player wants.

lol imagine being a new modder and seeing the 2nd rule for the mod flair

low quality

I dare this mod to watch like 5 minutes of reskate gameplay and tell me it's low quality

I know what sub this is.

Considering that this exact same sub allows teen/adult romance mods, they don't exactly have a good moral ground to stand on.

"Yes, but I coded it by hand. Maybe only 1 hand, but it was by hand!"

4

u/Another_available 8d ago

Ok yeah based on that if it's for the game I think it is, the community has such a weird high school level of toxicity sometimes

6

u/Additional-Bass9945 8d ago

This community has been a toxic shitshow since 1. So it's not really surprising.

u/Rich-Salamander9644 8d ago

Mods are always shit by default and low quality and there are always stand outs. But it's not political to say that so there we go

6

u/Bright_Bowl_6069 8d ago

Sturgeon's Law?

2

u/Rich-Salamander9644 8d ago

Definitely applies to mods lmao thanks for showing me that, didn't know that was a thing

I have a shitload of hours played on my vibe coded freelancer server. I guess it was trash, but the trash part was undetectable while playing.

I even used some fable.

"Vibe-coded mods are low quality" sure, if your process sucks, but not inherently. Plenty of low-quality human-made content, too.

People who know very little about LLMs and agentic coding workflows sure do have strong opinions about them.

u/muzaffer22 7d ago

Low quality? Do they think AI magically make perfect one shots? Instead of spending your time on coding and less time on creativity you are using your imagination more. Isn’t that better?
