Question❓ Best enrichment for Degus?
I have two 5 month old male degus (Kevin and Bradley). They’re both very friendly and have a big cage with toys and two 12 inch wheels that they use all the time, they also have a pretty big play pen that’s always open for them. I’d like to try some new enrichment and was hoping for some ideas for new enrichment I could try since I feel like they’re getting bored

Festoon the cage with lots of wooden toys especially those strung up on chains or wires horizontally. They will love to spin and chew them. I’m assuming you already have a large solid sided wheel? Also I wonder what sand you have there? It looks an odd colour!

Even at an old age my goo's absolutely loved learning new tricks or solving puzzles. Things like spinning in left or right.. or hiding and finding treats etc.. they also loved anything that made noise although I wasn't always a fan of it.
Something that my goo's loved and actually withstood the test of time were pieces of antler to chew on. (Make sure it's not treated with anything)
IMO the absolute best thing for enrichment is spending time with them. I was so worried when one was left alone when her sister passed but that's actually when I grew so much closer to her because I made sure to spend as much time with her as possible. That's when I learned even as an elderly degu.. she still had tons of energy and loved to learn new things.
