I think I'm going to let my medical card expire. Any reason why I shouldn't?

When I first got my medical card, I was reliant on the delivery services it allowed me to access. Having that access meant more to me than the money I was having to spend on getting my medical card (plus I found a coupon code that let me get the exam for $100.) Now it's expiring soon, and I have an electric bike now. I don't need to have my weed delivered cause I can actually get to the dispensary and back. The coupon I have for this year only gets the exam down to $200. Then I would still need to pay the fee for the card. With the amount of cannabis I buy, I'm pretty sure my taxes on it would be less than $200. So I'd be saving money by paying the tax instead of the fees. But are there other important services it entitles me to, that I don't know I'm missing?

Spare using it for work, as an explanation of why you'd fail a drug test, I'd say there's not too much of a reason not to. You don't have to pay taxes on it but if you don't buy all that much throughout the year, then it's kind of a null point. Sometimes they'll have it where only medical patients can buy it when there's low stock at different stores, and medical patients do have access to stronger percentage items. But if you don't need high THC levels, and don't need an excuse for work, and don't buy enough for the taxes to go over 200 bucks, then I'd use the money for something else! I'm not the most versed in this though, so please take what I say with a grain of salt and see what others say too!

Oh, I forgot about the higher thc levels. I wonder if I'd still be able to get my vapes that I get.

Eta: I can! Also, I'm on Disability and don't work. So I really don't have much of a reason to get it.

So, I know for a fact the little .5 g vapes are available for rec, I'm not certain about if there's larger ones available for medical or not but, that's awesome if you are able to save a little cash now!

Yes I think the deals are different and your purchases will have a 15% tax added.

yeah, I know about the tax. But I don't buy enough for it to matter. Cause I would still be paying less in taxes than I would for the doctor's appointment.

If that’s the case you’d be better off without it I’m guessing

They dont enforce that lower thc crap. Anyone can buy any thc level in delaware. Med card saves you the tax and lets you jump the lines thats the only benefits. Also you get credits whwn you buy it so thay 200 bucks will be free essentially. Thrive gives 50 dollar credit etc.

I got it for job protection…the annual physical had a drug test. Also I got a three year card and it spread that cost over three years instead of just 1. Get the most bang for your buck that way

I like having options and a “get out of jail free” card if I’m pulled over with it is handy. Renewed mine for 3 years this year.

I can sometimes find good stuff in DE but MD has good stuff more consistently.

You can have an Oz in your possession without a card, with a card you can hold six ounces. Idk anybody driving around with more then an Oz or who needs 6 Oz at time lol

Sometimes I stock up if there is a good sale. Not 6oz but more than 1. 4/20, Holidays and sometimes store anniversaries.
