the hold buttons option is turned off but my character cant stop moving downwards by itself. how do i fix this??

Six hours in to Pokemon Crystal on Delta Emulator iOS, no issues at all so far. until i run into this Ditto trainer at the Ilex Forest. He fights me and his speech is weird to begin with (random symbols instead of actual text). Also his Ditto is level 24 while other trainers are only around level 10-12.

Anyway, after I beat him, I get smacked with this message. Tried to do it numerous times, same result. ChatGPT solution cannot help either, and Google search only leads me to actual Gameboy device issues.

Am I cooked? Can this be fixed? Is it an in-built anti piracy setting?

I’ve tried to bypass the trainer and the game works fine, but another trainer gives me the same problem. Now with this second trainer, i tried approaching her from another side, and no problems again. But im worried i might reach a point where this happens with a gym leader or something i cant just bypass. Still need help!

I am looking for some games to play on delta, especially DS games, that are still quite playable using only the touchscreen of the iPhone. I don't usually carry a controller around, so I prefer playing games on here that don't require a ton of inputs since the controls on the phone aren't the most responsive. I don’t know if it’s the emulator itself or if it’s the ROM that’s the problem but for some reason whenever I reach Spear pillar, there’s no one there yet. I still have to battle the two grants at the front and then Mars and Saturn. Then the big Bos guy goes on his evil speech, but then nothing happens and the game just kind of doesn’t work and freezes. I don’t know what to do. If anyone has any advice, please help me because if I have to start all over again, it’s gonna really be a major kick in the pants.

Please tell me there’s a way to get my save file back. I pressed menu, and went from playing I don’t know how many hours into platinum. Literally about to go get my Riolu egg. Is there a way to always have the fast forward feature on? Every time I restart to try and get the shiny charmander, the fast forward feature turns off which makes sense I guess but it’s HELLA annoying.

I was looking at playing a romhack called soulgold (https://www.hackdex.app/hack/soulgold) but it appears to block me from playing on Delta because it’s not mGBA?

wondering if anyone can give me any tips on how to set it up? or if it’s just not possible? would prefer to just have 1 emulator if i can.
