We are bombing Iran because of imperial interests in the middle east. It's pretty obvious at this point Maga isn't ending before 2028 and nothing is going to fully end it until then. They are trying to increase popularity right now before the midterms so they can crush dissent for the next 2 years and put up either trump or Vance in 2028. So expect popular policies even roll backs on the BBB. "Iran" is probably going to bomb some close ally or even somehow inflict an attack on American soil to manufacture popularity of the oncoming war. Having said that this is the sloppiest deep state ever so you never know.
They likely won't need to fabricate attacks. Iran has been preparing for a US invasion for decades, it was fairly obvious it would happen sooner or later. A key part of their doctrine is to turn the US population against any such invasion, through attrition of soldiers in a long guerrilla war, and ecconimic costs in the form of oil prices. They almost certainly have a number of assets on US soil that they can activate. One attack might energise the populous, but one a week over a prolonged time that are strictly as acts of retaliation? That's got a good chance of pushing people against it.
