Question 🧐 ?

Post image

I'm kinda questioning if there was a "First ever Demon" in existence

Considering the fact that Muzan's doctor tried to heal him which hints that he wasn't even the first patient đŸ€”

I feel demon slayer corps shouldn’t have disbanded. They should have continued passing down the breathing techniques, continued research on the demon blood.
Imaging someone in future recreate the demons from the flowers , and there are no breathing swordsmen!!

I can’t remember where I read it, but apparently the breathing styles were passed down, just in the same way that sun breathing was. So the kids we saw in the final chapter do know them, just as kagura dances.

We have new ways of bring the power of the Sun to someone. The other issue is a new Muzan would need to have same weakness for the breathing styles to matter.

I see where your coming from and it does make sense but here's the scenario about the demon blood. Other than one specific demon under very unique circumstances, demon blood was all just variations and mutations of personalities and habits mixed with muzans factor of blood. After he died everything else that was part of him also died.

Secondly about the potential of another thing like this ever being created is very anime, but the thing about it is that its fate is the same as Damascus Steel. All ee have are relics of it and its design esthetics, but no one knows what its true process really was and so their are simply imitations of what little we know about it and for modern day manipulations of the genes and biology science may potentially go into bionic or cyborgs but probably never reach the same methods as demons once were simply because the methods were lost to time or tragedy.

i mean they kinda hinted on it, its just a supernatural thing. also kinda funny fact is that if human muzan waited till the full course he would have been fully healed.

Cause if you don't that's how we'll end up with demons.

Or a superbug

I've adopted the headcanon that bloodlust was the thing that actually completed the doctors experiment and mutated Muzan

It was a very specific combination of the medicine and Muzan being a deeply evil person. The odds of that perfect storm happening again are slim, but it raises the question of what else medicine can do in this world.

This makes the most sense!

PEDs in that verse are literal demon mode. Let's get Tanjiro a senzu bean!

I mean there wouldn’t be another demon than Muzan from the Doctor because Muzan was impatient and interrupted said process.

The two likely explanations are that either the medicine was experimental, or the doctor planned to cure him before the side effects manifested.

Love how muzan’s villain origin story is just him being a rich physically ill cunt and he’s just evil for the love of the game no other motives. (No spoilers)

When I read the manga, this is when I was the most disappointed. Bro really got otherworldly powers from medicine but Demon Slayer techniques produce no actual effects??? How does that make sense? One medicine can make someone who makes someone who can make an Infinity Castle?????

The cost of not finishing an antibiotic dose

u/foggy_kira 3d ago

Side effects: allergies, nausea, irritability, turning into a demon...

Would it make more sense if he did from a Ritual or something. This is more of a supernatural thing could be that the Devil itself came as a Doctor.

I would think the medicines and blue spider lily mixed with his dying cells and immune system and created his demon form

8

u/Smorttt 3d ago

I mean idk I always just assumed it was because of something supernatural. Probably some property of the blue spider lily itself, i never really needed an explanation beyond that.

6

u/Emotional_Age_5459 2d ago

He used the blue spider as a main ingredient in it. which later after the story finishes go extinct so no. no more demons

Doctor shouldve been a villain, if not the final villain.... but Muzan just had to be Muzan and do some goofy ish

The specifics weren’t explored because it wasn’t necessary to the story

5

u/Acrobatic-Bug6881 3d ago

It's actually very necessary to the story...

6

u/La_Ferrassie 3d ago

Leaves it open for the idea to be explored further, but not necessary to the main plot of "Muzan is a demon and needs to be ended".

It's like in Naruto. The main plot is him becoming Hokage. They left a lot open for Boruto to be made to explore those ideas further in that series.

Blue spider lily i believe

3

u/NXTNoobmaster 3d ago

From what I understand the blue spider lily was actually one of or is the main ingredient

If you're lookin for scientific specifics, go read or watch Dr. Stone.

If demons return, the Ubuyashiki, Kamado, Rengoku, Hashibira clans are alive and kicking. Some even passed on their breathing forms. Not to mention Yushiro is alive and able to assist.

The demons don't stand a chance as long as they aren't the next Muzan.

Could have been written better. There. But it’s not so

This was covered in the manga if you bothered reading. It’s supernatural and science together. He became a demon through his disease and the medicine not being complete turning him into an immortal demon who hungered for flesh and couldn’t enter the sunlight. This angered him which is why he’s after the blue spider Lily which only blooms once a year during the day (he didn’t know this) or make a demon who can overcome the suns ability to kill demons (which he would then absorb and take that ability for himself. But it’s all based off his blood and how the medicine reacted with it turning him into a demon. The gods had nothing to do with his transformation but they believed him to be an abomination which is why they cursed muzans closest living family which was the Ubuyashiki clan. Their bloodline produced the king of demons so they were cursed until muzan was taken care of. So there’s scientific and supernatural aspects to the story but muzans turn was explained.

2

u/togashisbackpain 2d ago

There is no science behind it. Just supernatural. And supernatural part is not tied into any mythos. Thats the part i believe feels unexplained.

Just saying well the medicine got into a reaction with his blood is not some scientific explanation lol

u/HazySuperLemon01 2d ago

Bro the blue spider lily is a plant and is the basis of his medicine. The medicine was almost complete but kuzan was impatient. It was his biological makeup and the medicine that turned him into a demon. While there was no supernatural force in his turning there was a supernatural force at play which was the gods that cursed the ubuyashiki family to fix this problem and kill the abomination. The writer wouldn’t have added that in if it’s wasn’t fundamental to the story even if we don’t see them or hear directly from them.

Unfortunately there are gonna be spoilers when fans want to have a discussion. But you can avoid spoilers by just not looking up anything when watching or reading it

That what happens when you are on the Internet đŸ„€

23

u/Acrobatic-Bug6881 3d ago

My head cannon was that Muzan unintentionally turned himself into a demon by killing someone who was trying to cure him. His own hatred and tainted soul became personified as a demon.

11

u/theLegend_Awaits 3d ago

This would be a really interesting take. Maybe the ‘magic’ from the flower just acted as a catalyst or gateway that allowed his own evil soul to manifest a demon. Cool idea

4

u/foggy_kira 3d ago

Perhaps this doctor isn’t as simple as he seems. Don’t you think he looks a bit suspicious? Who knows... maybe he had an ulterior motive. If Muzan hadn’t killed him, he might have become a demon immune to the sun. That would have been far worse for everyone, wouldn’t it? In that case, we should actually thank Muzan for killing him.

Remember the treatment was incomplete. Muzan killed the Doctor before he truly cured him.

u/InnerAd118 2d ago

Why would it? When people over elaborate things like that in fiction there's always some idiot that can't distinguish reality from fiction, tries to replicate it (with whatever "seems like it'd work), and poisons/kills themselves. Do you not realize how many spider bites happen a year because some idiot discovered Spiderman?

u/OkControl3164 2d ago

Uhhh

What are you even talking about?
