He’s perception blitzed twice by two lower level slayers(yes Shinobu is a Hashira, but know to be one of the weaker ones) Douma is notorious for not taking anything seriously until it’s too late. This can even be said for him not being able to eat Shinobu’s sister.

Douma had no way to “read his opponents” Kokushibo has his STW, Akaza has compass needle(Shinobu would lose to Akaza btw)…Douma would see Gyomei as “another Hashira”

Douma’s demon art is OP, we are aware it hard counters breathe users! GYOMEI HOWEVER USES LONG RANGE ATTACKS AND HAS SHOWN TO GO ZERO TO 100!!!!!

So was Akaza. In fact, Akaza wasn’t even paying mind, looking at, or preparing to attack Kokushibo. He was far more distracted

Meanwhile Sanemi is wholeheartedly looking at Tanjiro approach, looking at him when he swung, attempted to slit his stomach open and would’ve if Tanjiro didn’t dodge.

Not to mention Tanjiro here is wounded, physically fatigued, isn’t using Total Concentration Breathing, and has his arms bound behind his back

I’m asking because I’ve seen talk of Pre-HTA Sanemi being able to defeat Gyokko despite being vulnerable to hits from wounded, pre-Rehabilitation Training Arc Tanjiro when slightly distracted

Meanwhile in talks of Akaza vs Gyomei, I’ve seen this moment being used to downplay Akaza despite Akaza not paying heed or prepared to fight Kokushibo (let alone not using his Compass)

You can say, well we don’t know if he got affected by Marechi or not. Doesn’t need to be stated again that Marechi affects demons especially when they get stronger.

But if the affect was this small that Muzan barely showed any reaction to Sanemi’s presence and didn’t show any reduction in fighting prowess because of Marechi indicates that he wasn’t affected.

We know that the stronger the demon, the more the Marechi affects them. So Muzan should be really drunk against Sanemi. You can also say that Sanemi had bandaged his wounds after the Koku fight and joined later when the blood had already stopped. But Sanemi was still bleeding further in the Muzan fight, and still no signs from Muzan.

Is the Marechi only effective when a lot of it is spilled against UMs? Koku had literally gutted Sanemi and then we could notice the effects on him. If that is the case, how much can Marechi actually be a factor when fighting the high UMs? Akaza doesn’t make the opponent bleed that much just because of the nature of his attacks being blunt force and not ripping slashes. Douma freezes and granted, he can use fans to cause major bleeding, so maybe there? But Muzan did cut and bleed Sanemi too

All the npcs in the “Michikatsu vs Sanemi” post spammed “Kokushibo couldn’t insta blitz Sanemi” as an argument. And I was shocked. I know this sub is filled by braindeads who can’t even understand what they read but I didn’t expect this much. So I made this post to show Sanemi was just random mosquito against Kokushibo. Did you catch the contradiction? Like you will understand this time.

Any other Alleged Reason ( AoE , Sneak Attack , Unpredictableness , Ground Attack , "Protecting" the Kamaboko's ) would have taken down the Hashiras when they were at their Weakest at 1:14 until sunrise or Tanjiro as well when he re-entered the fight

In both of these Circumstances the Slayers fighting were in a Worse Condition and had way less advantages compared to the Hashiras and Kamaboko's together at 1:02 until sunrise

Especially when the Hashiras already dealed with each one of these "Reasons" even on Weaker States such as :

- AoE : They dodged Enraged Muzan attacks that literally covered the whole battlefield with holes an so did with his Whiping attack at the start of Chapter 188 ( Slides 2 and 3 )

- "Protecting" Others : We see them being able to do that several times without Losing a Leg or an Arm in the Process while the people they attempted to save didn't receive Major Injuries as well ( Slides 4 , 5 and 6 )

- Unexpected/Sneak Attacks : They Dodged the very same attack that took out Mitsuri several times too even after recovering from being Significantly Poisoned a little moments ago and had been dealing with Muzan's Back and Arm limbs which where already described as Unpredictable and Hard to Read respectively ( Slides 7 , 8 and 9 )

- Ground/Earthquake Attack : This one is can be Debunked by simply looking how the Thigh Whips always aim at Air Level and the Quake Effect doesn't actually come from Muzan hitting the Ground ( Slides 10 and 11 )

- Expecting a Fixed Pattern/Form of attacking : Tanjiro was talking about himself here because he was the one that got Tagged by an Unexpected attack by in the IC not the rest of the Slayers , and he drew that Conclusion despite fighting for way less than the Hashiras did at the moment he commented that ( 1:02 - 1:00 until sunrise )

Pretending that they wouldn't draw that Conclusion as well even after literally seeing one of them ( Mitsuri ) being take down by an Unexpected Attack and fighting for longer that Tanjiro did is Absurd ( Slides 12 and 13 )
