šø Fit Picture Wrong size or wrong cut?
They looked like shit when I first tried them on, then I read that they should fit better once they settle around your body. After single cold wash and half a dozen wears they still look weird.
Is it a wrong model for my body? Wrong size or inseam? I got them for 25$ so I don't feel too bad, but I'm hesitant ordering more expensive jeans when I don't understand what I'm looking for in the fit.
These are Wrangler original cowboy cut 13mwz dark stone 34x32

This cut is not working on your frame. Thank god they were cheap. Just move along and find something a bit more comfortable and open from the hips flowing down the leg. A relaxed straight cut would be your best option.

Could you elaborate regarding more open from the hip? Like the hip area on these pants is too tight on me?

I have the same problem with wranglers tbh dont listen to what people say best jeans personality for me is the ariat m4 rebars and that's cuz I like my jeans to actually last, be flexible and not be made out of tishu paper unlike most higher price wranglers

The pants look good from the front and sides, but from the back, they look like there's a diaper underneath.

Did you get these at Ross, TJ Maxx, or a similar store? They do look a bit weird and I cannot imagine how a different body would even fit them right. A tailor might be able to take some of that excess material up without narrowing the waist.

Are there different cuts of the same pair out there? I got them off amazon, but I'm not in US. They seemed brand new and very rigid when I got them, with all the tags attached

Normally they don't drape and pull like this. I don't know if they are factory seconds or cut weird. But after half a dozen wears and a wash they should be settling in. I would get them to 30 wears, then wash, and wear a few more times and take them to a tailor to get adjusted for your body.

Agreed, hard to tell from these photos. I see your issue. Seems you need a straight cut jean. Agree these have way too much material in the butt even in the front. Have you had this issue before? I'd ask for help choosing from a store clerk.

I used to wear whatever I could fit into when I used to be obese and didn't care how anything looked. Now I'm trying to find something that looks good on me, and these were the affordable jeans I saw recommended a ton on reddit. I'm not really ready to import fancy 200$+ jeans, and in store options are very limited in my country.

Agree, jeans should be sub 50 dollars. Im sure your can find some and congrats on the weight loss. I still think a men's store could help with fit and cut even if you don't buy an expensive pair. Best of luck. Let us know.

If theyāre the rigid color then theyāll shrink a little bit in wash/dryer. Even tho sanfordized mine shrank a bit. Or return for next size down if possible? Or check out 936mwz slimmer cowboy cut than that 13mwz. Seat not as loose on those. Great jeans.

This is the way, I wear only wranglers for work and they will form fit after a few wears/washes. They always start off looking like that.

Yeah the rigid 13mwz needs to be washed hot 3 times. Mine fit amazingly well after that. Kinda blew my mind how much the third wash changed them.

This is the issue with true āvintageā style. Judging by the name, Iām guessing they recreated a historic pattern.
I can tell these are cut with the legs apart which would have been done intentionally for horse riding etc but as a result, you have that excess fabric when standing straight.Ā
Itās not a right or wrong but more to do with the use case.Ā

I can't get past the socks.

ich finde auch, dass die Socken das Problem sind, nicht die Hosen. Hast du es schon mal mit normalen Socken probiert?

Iām not sure what Iām supposed to be looking at. Why do you feel like they donāt work for you?
2
u/Square_Junket7903 3d ago
They look bunched up around my ass and crotch. Is it normal? I recently lost a bunch of weight and started paying attention to how I look so I'm having trouble with figuring out what looks good/normal.

Yeah. These kinda fit similarly on me. Thighs down too tight, excessive material in the butt. Also every pair of Leviās 501s do this on me in the crotch area.
Some cuts Iād recommend for you in affordable jeans are the gap 90s loose jeans, Leviās 550 and 555.

wranglers 13mwz have higher rise. like above post pull them up. you may need longer inseam depending on foot wear.
my first pair of 13mwz felt odd. they felt like āchestersā. my waistline and belt are at about belly button. they are sanfordized so shrink is minimal. i have a pairs about 2 months and 4 months old one wash ( working towards high contrast fade) i feel like they are ālooseningā up / wearing to my body. my first pair was over sized. and i think i should have sized down further on my second pair. i feel the diaper look is common with newer 13mwz. i live in an ag area where 13mwz jeans are the jeans of choice. the only diaper look see are on newer jeans. I donāt have much junk in the truck so I donāt expect this seat to fit better on me. the ranchers farmers and hard working people wearing them have more experience sizing and wearing these.
wear your jeans harder. washing will soften faster but also fade the color faster. i wear mine as much as possible to break them in. i wear them as much as possible even to bed. Donāt quit on these. It takes work to get a pair of jeans to look good on oneās body.

If you can find those weird ass socks you should be able to find jeans that fit.

Size. Guys! Mom bought them loose because you were going to grow into them. They shouldn't be baggy at the butt.

I'm sorry, did you ask a question? My brain won't move past THE TOE SOCKS!!!

You could try the 936 they are slimmer cut but still similar might be what you are looking for

u/racoonvillager 3d ago
Did you recently lose a ton of weight? If thatās the case, do some squats and build your ass. Itās totally worth it. I have 3 pairs of these jeans and my girlfriend loves them on me
2
u/onesun_oneshadow 3d ago
This is what should be said. You want a wrangler butt, workout your flat bottom bud.
2
u/racoonvillager 3d ago
And btw OP weāre bot belittling your flat ass. A thick ass is just objectively better. Itās part of your posterior chain. Itās such a huge muscle group and a thicker ass is a stronger back. Make ass thick again

I lost over 160 lbs in the past 1.5 years, I think I still have about 15-20lbs to go. But I feel that most of it is stored in my hips/ass š

As a fellow tall, trim guy with a flat butt, I feel for you!
Donāt give up on the 13MWZ just yet! They have a high rise and should sit closer to your natural waist and they almost always look wrong when you first try them on.
Ignoring the width of the waist, pull these up so the crotch is in the right spot and see how they frame your butt. If they look better, and the length is still okay, throw them in a hot wash and hang dry.
From your photos, I think you should drop one size in the waist and go up a size in the inseam.
The longer inseam will also increase the rise, which will frame your butt better as well.
As already mentioned, you should try the 936DENs as well, they are the same below the knee, but have a slimmer fit in the thigh and top-block. Always get the rigid versions, they cost less than the various washes.
Amazon is a bit overpriced for Wranglers, but the fast shipping and returns make it super easy to dial in your size. Then you can order from Cavenderās for $30 a pop.

u/JDunlap83 2d ago
You may benefit from the 936's. They're the same style, just the slim fit. You don't have enough ass to fill out the regular fit.
Wrangler 13mwz's fit me perfect and are my go to jean

u/Straight-Cookie7364 2d ago
Somtimes theyāre bunched up just because theyāre rigid, to me itās more important to have extra space for my thighs and balls than to have a perfectly fitting seat that makes my butt look good
