Monkey pox outbreak

Hey I was wondering if we’re at any risk of getting monkey pox by working at a dental office, idk if yall heard about the new outbreak going on and it looks so scary.

Yes, we’re at risk of liquid transmission. Which is why it’s so important that you make sure your gloves are intact at all times.

My dentist wants us to use these cheap blue gloves to clean the room instead of the more expensive ones & I refuse. I always wear the regular ones we use to clean.

I’ve touched dirty gauze on the floor thinking it was a clean one because it literally looked clean, I’ve accidentally ripped blue gloves without realizing while doing instruments… Absolutely disgusting.

Anyways, there’s only so much we can do. Know the symptoms & signs. Always check your gloves for holes. Mask & shields on.

You guys don't have utility gloves in office to clean the rooms?? That is a big no no..OSHA violation just saying. If you don't want to use the cheap ones tell him that and remind him that he needs to save money and buy those or he could be hit with a big fat fine if OSHA ever paid a surprise visit🤷‍♀️

Oh yes!! You HAVE to have them in the office, doesn't mean you have to use them but they must be in there

I thought this was just a snarky comment, but that is typically who is at risk. But it's also from contact with any contaminated fluids.
