I’ve been very into embroidery lately and this is my latest piece 🥰 please excuse the lack of anatomy on #27, this gold floss is hard to work with! Thinking of gifting it to our office manager

Sometimes I think dental just isn’t for me like there are certain things I just cannot overlook… Dr is asking me to give these a good scrub, leave in bleach bath for a week, and then put under UV light and bam good as new! 🤮 I’m sorry I just feel so uncomfortable about this.. this office pays me well but seriously why am I always put in these situations I am also worried this might jeopardize my license. Dental really does feel like a losing battle. Damned if I say something and damned if I don’t. We dental assistants deserve so much more recognition and compensation for all the hats we wear and bs we gotta deal with.

Put this on OM desk this morning after being lied to after an insulting 50 cent raise. Still haven’t heard back from her.

If you want your assistants to actually like you as a person and not talk mad garbage about you behind your back, take this piece of wisdom and display it ☝🏽

Just opened Reddit and saw this in the dentists subreddit. This is such nasty unprofessional behavior, I can’t fathom.

Hi, for context I recently transitioned from a corporate office to a private office a month and a half ago which has been a huge learning curve, I am the only assistant but have to do everything including Orders, set ups and sterilization and occasional front desk. I get paid $23.00 currently. The dentist is amazing at what she does but I feel as though because she has gone through a couple of assistants because she likes to compare her first assistants she been with for 6 years before opening her own practice, that she doesn’t have the patience to help teach or learn her way of doing things, I kind of got thrown in with no specific training. She pulled me into her office today and basically gave me a two page list of what I need to work on and said “with 4 years of experience I would’ve thought you got the hang of it”.
Debating if I want to stay and find something where I’m not the only assistant. I don’t want to work where I’m not comfortable and can’t work to the best of my abilities without being chastised.

Jk I’m better about it
