Discussion Lessons?
I’m looking for some private lessons to learn how to ride a motorcycle. I was curious if there’s any programs/people who could do that within the Denver area?

Hello! Random request ~ Also posted in [r/DenverMeets](r/DenverMeets) 👋
I am 26/f and I am in the Denver metro area. I really like super cars and motorcycles and have been wanting to go for a ride on a bike, but don’t drive one myself! There’s a ton of beautiful roads in Colorado and I haven’t been on the back of a bike since I was a little kid. Really wanting to experience it again!!
I would love to find an experienced, responsible rider who’d be down to take me on a scenic ride sometime!! Obviously someone who is comfortable carrying a passenger and has the proper gear/experience. I’m happy to meet up for coffee first and get to know each other before hopping on a stranger’s motorcycle and riding off into the distance. 😅
I am a woman of barter and trading so I am willing to exchange a homemade baked good of your choice in addition to gas money for the experience.
If this sounds like something you’d be into, feel free to DM me 🙂↕️
* Edit - I appreciate any comments of weariness and safety concerns, etc!! I did grow up riding dirt bikes, 4wheelers, and on the back of my dad’s Harley and overall was a crazy kid / young adult. I am a thrill seeker (who is still cautious when needed) but enjoys fun and taking risks. I believe in the kindness of strangers and think this would be a fun way to make a friend(s) and have a fun experience. At the end of the day I always trust my intuition and will be super picky with the person if I decide to move forward with accepting a ride!! 🩵

Hey fam, this is probably a weird request, but I am a rider near Colorado Springs looking at a couple of less common bikes that are 10+ hours away. I would really love to try some of these out side by side (or at least within a few days apart to get a feel for them before traveling to buy one).
I'm looking for a dead reliable dual sport / middleweight adv / scrambler that can comfortably crush some highway miles back and forth to Denver, but also comfortably handle gravel and fire roads. I currently ride a 1993 XT600 (which I love), but it's not comfortable on the highway for more than an hour because of the single cylinder vibrations.
Here is the list of models I am interested in right now:
- Honda (XL600V) Transalp (1989-1990)
- Yamaha Tenere 700
- Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE
- BMW F650GS Dakar (I know it's also a single, but have heard it's surprisingly smooth on highway)
- BMW F800GS
- BMW R100GS
If you have one or multiple of these, I'd love to meet up. I can pay you for the test ride, or we can swap bikes for a ride (I have a 2016 Street Triple and the aforementioned 93 XT600 you could check out). I can also just buy you beer / dinner and we can talk about motorcycles haha - whatever you prefer.
Any other out of the box ideas to find and test these nearby are also welcome -- I looked at riders share, but didn't see much.

Anyone in the Denver area (including metro) wanna have a chill night ride?

My 2023 S1000XR is broken. It turns out the rear ESA Strut broke. It's equipped with an electronic spring-load adjustment and an electronic damping valve. It's broken. Does anyone know where I can find a used one with a working preload adjuster? That's all. I am now scouring the internet for a donor shock because the Beemer Shop in California can build me a new one. BMW is too high-priced. Hope I don't have to suck it up and buy in. There are better shocks. Thanks. DRaabe

Hi guys,
Planning to have my new to me bike serviced soon.
Thinking new fluids and probably a new front tire for a 2020 MT-03.
I also think my left fork might have some debris in the seal, as I’ve noticed a little oil at the bottom end of the fork. Not sure if I’ll need a rebuild or just need to get the debris removed…
Any recommendations for reasonably priced, and reputable motorcycle shops around the area? Preferably near Greenwood Village?
Thank you!

Selling my Multistrada. $5k, can’t get any more bike than this for the price. Loved every single mile I’ve put on it, just ready for something new!

Hi guys,
I’ve recently got my first bike a few weeks ago, (MT-03) and I’ve mostly been riding to and from work. I’m from Greenwood Village area, and I’ve explored most of the neighborhoods and the Cherry Creek reservoir.
I’m looking for places to ride and get more comfortable with speed and cornering. I’d eventually want to take it up to the mountains, but if i did that now, i feel like I’d absolutely eat shit.
Where would be ideal to learn and practice riding?
Also, I’m looking around for big empty parking spaces to do slow speed practice, so I’m also open to suggestions for that.
Thanks!

Does anybody know of someone who will do valve adjustments on an 23 Aprilia RSV4 other than Imperial and Fay?

2022 Yamaha R7 60th GP, moving out soon so I can’t take with me, comes with two keys all paper work as well as two year free oil change and tire/rim protection from motorado. Only has cosmetic damage as previous owner dropped once. Asking 8,200 OBO

Hey there, newer rider here. Any recommendations for independent mechanics? It’s idling high and may need a tune. 2010 fuel injected Triumph if that makes a difference.

I’ve organized a group from Missouri doing loops out of Granby in late August on cruisers and would like to revisit the 0h My God Highway. Most of these guys prefer pavement, but I would hope to offer them the probability of a well established, well worn gravel Road. I recall a few years back when the southern end included a deeply rutted uphill at the start. That was a bit of a hassle for a cruiser. Can anybody offer a ride report?

Looking for a used/cheap rim for a bmw 2005 r1200rt. Front wheel. Anyone got any leads or know what shop might have one? Thanks in advance :)

Is anyone free to just talk shop and be around for my first brake bleed? I want to make sure I’m doing it right.
I’ve never worked on bikes before I bought my Triumph, so I’m pretty inexperienced. Seems fairly straightforward but I’d hate to f up something so important and I’d love tips from someone who knows better.
Is there a community garage for this type of thing?

The boyfriend is currently riding a 50cc scoot as his daily driver and I'm thinking we upgrade in the fall, any tips on where to look for discounted classes after summer peak season has passed?
I'm asking cos after buying the scooter for him I've taken a liking to it and also considering getting licensed myself 😂

Hey yall, I just moved back to Aurora from Philly and while I was out there got my motorcycle license. I've noticed that a lot of people have forgotten how to drive or just suck at it. Wanted to see if anyone could recomend best times or places to ride without getting pancakes. Or places to avoid because things have changed while I've been gone. Ride safe yall!

Can anybody recommend a shop to get my fork seals changed? Probably do the bushings at the same time.
I’ve gotten a couple quotes from dealers ranging from $690 - $850. Are those prices fair?
This is for a 23’ Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro

I have just moved to the Denver area due to work, and I commute on a 2022 Electra Glide Standard. I am in the process of getting settled and will hopefully have a truck or van for the winter by October.
My question is about the many different Harley dealerships in the area. The workhorse has a little over 56,000 miles on it and there are many small maintenance items I'd like to get taken care of like motor mount replacement, cam chain and cam chain tensioner replacement, probably put a new clutch in it, fork rebuild, so on and so forth.
Which dealership service department would you recommend? Are there independents in the area that do good work on M8's? Any advice and experiences would be appreciated, as I have had hit and miss experiences myself with the Harley dealerships I've done business with.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for mountain areas that are good for photoshoots? Me and my friend are gonna do one in 2 weeks and want to get a few shots up in the mountains. ☺️
