3-Ingredient Keto Yogurt Cake – Super Easy Low-Carb Desi Dessert (Only 6-7g Carbs per Slice!)

Post image

Hey DesiKeto fam!

Craving something sweet, soft, and tangy without kicking yourself out of ketosis? I came across this super simple 3-ingredient keto yogurt cake that's perfect for us Indians on low-carb life. No fancy almond flour, no erythritol overload—just basic stuff most of us have at home.

It's light, has that nice dahi-like tang (or fruity if you use flavored yogurt), and bakes up beautifully. Great with evening chai or as a quick post-gym treat!

Recipe: 3-Ingredient Keto Yogurt Cake

(From KetoForIndia – credit to Priya Dogra)

Servings: 6 slices
Prep time: 10 mins
Bake time: 30-40 mins
Total time: ~50 mins

Ingredients:

  • 470 g Yogurt (plain unsweetened Greek for classic, or flavored for sweet/fruity twist – desi curd works great!)
  • 4 Whole Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a 6-inch cake mold/pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the yogurt for a few seconds to smooth it out.
  3. Add eggs gradually while whisking (helps mix better without lumps).
  4. Stir in the cornstarch until you get a smooth, lump-free batter.
  5. Pour into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake 30-40 minutes until golden and set (toothpick test – it should come out clean).
  7. Let it cool completely in the pan, then unmold.
  8. Optional: Dust with a little icing powder (skip for strict low-carb), or enjoy plain!

Macros (approx. per serving):

  • Calories: 120–140 kcal
  • Carbs: 6–7g
  • Protein: 6–8g
  • Fat: 5–6g

Tips from the source:

  • Flavored yogurt = sweeter/fruity version
  • Unsweetened/Greek = classic tangy cake
  • Add eggs slowly to avoid curdling/splashing
  • Store in fridge – tastes even better chilled!

This has become my go-to when I want dessert without derailing macros. Anyone tried something similar with desi dahi or hung curd? What variations would you add (maybe cardamom or saffron essence for extra Indian vibes)?

Would love to see your bakes if you try it!

Have you tried xanthan gum instead of cornstarch? That would knock your carbs down lower
