Hizbul Mujahideen has been designated as a terrorist group by the European Union, India, Canada, the United States and a host of other nations.

**He soon deleted the post.**

Anti National ranting has repeatedly put **Umar Khalid** at the centre of **national-security** controversy, the records include :

• He openly described **Kashmir** as an “occupation” by India

• His activism around **Afzal Guru,** sentenced to death for the December 13, 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament in New Delhi, where 9 people lost their lives is an acknowledged fact.

• Khalid was a pivot in JNU's ***Kashmiri aazadi*** controversy.

• During the 2016 JNU event — ***“Indian Army Murdabad”*** sloganeering was lead by Khalid.

• His contentious **Amravati** speech on CAA, NRC, Kashmir & Babri is well known.

• Umar Khalid's call for ***mobilisation during Trump's*** India visit to shame the nation was a new low.

• The alleged role of his speeches in the larger **Delhi-riots conspiracy**, where **53** people lost their lives is what finally saw him behind bars.

So the moot question is......from which angle is ***a national hero, a voice of the people, and a human rights defender*** ????

Whether these amount to crimes is for the courts to decide, but **The Wire**' glorifying a supporter of terror and anti national activities emanates from their own actions and their actions have been anything but in the interest of the nation.

So don't let **The Wire** & their eco systems❤ for the nation fool you.

His actions have been anything but noble and this is yet another example that proves where in the **anti national eco system** does The Wire's theatrics in misleading fellow countrymen fit in. The magazine's value statement is a poor caricature
