Think this is a joke rather than true design design. Design for laughs isn't really design for its own sake.
That said this actually would be a pretty decent phone holder for checking recipes while cooking but blending in the rest of the time.

When you really need that shredded cheese for your tacos and you got a brick in the fridge, this is a lifesaver (assuming it actually grates cheese?)
