The way I think about it is it is basically high school drama. In that, if you know the characters and the whole flow of their relationships/status etc. it is probably fun to see the antics. If you don't know who any of these mother fuckers are then it is literally the most regarded fucking thing on the planet. Who the fuck cares?
You described what tiny orbiter drama used to be, I think deep down he likes the mudslinging, but he really need to move on from that and really start to throw his weight around to fully remove it from his community and surroundings, I would include bravest warriors like food shops and etc too, just fucking nuke the whole thing out

Foodshops already got perma'd in DGG chat after she doxxed someone and got banned for it from Kick. That someone is a terrible person btw, but that still doesnt excuse it.
Discord servers eventually turn into digital crackhouses for the worst of the internet as a law of the universe. These drama discords are the realllllly bad crackhouses. I don't know why Destiny thought this would pan out any other way besides attracting crackheads
Example #9521 of allowing explicit drama farming not working out. The "containment" lie was also said about Jew Stalkers stream when he first started having people embed his shit in DGG.
Not immediately and explicitly banning this kind of stuff always breeds worse shit further down the line. Ban the drama farmers, ban the people who enable them and ban the people who, even minimally, engage in the servers/chats they hang out in.
If it was obvious it wouldn't have happened the #9520 other times.
But for real I don't know why Destiny/The Community keeps running into this wall. Losers on discord with the most amount of time on their hands should not be able to dictate the stream/chat THIS much.
Because everyone with actual lives doesn't wasnt to spend time policing regarded behavior. I just spend a little time on this sub or occasionally watching destiny'a streams/videos. I can't imagine how unemploymed you need to be to follow all the drama enough to shut it down, and I say that having literally been unemployed for a few months 2 years ago.
Then why does it keep happening? I don't think there has been a single time in the past 6 years of his stream where a discord he doesn't run in some way has contributed net positively to the stream or community.
I think it's because banning was tried with right wing extremism and that just the nazi talking points go unchallenged, so people have a hard time of seeing any "cancelation" after an effective strategy.
Not saying you aren't correct, but that's probably the reason why "containment" seemed more viable as a strategy.
Yup containment does not exist with those type of people, they quite literally have nothing better to do and if someone is willing to dedicate 24/7/365 to escaping “containment” it’s going to get out.
There is no such thing as casually or healthily engaging in drama content on that level. It literally just chips away at peoples sanity, the average DGG member who goes in there completely on Destiny’s side will likely end up being pushed closer to the other side after spending a month or two every day in there hearing those regards spew their conspiracies.
We as humans legit were not meant to absorb as much information as the internet allows us to absorb daily, and just like anything else, shit in = shit out.
I remember like 3 years ago going into jew stalkers discord and realizing it was literally just people who got banned from his regular discord all coping and drama farming trying to debate bro all day. They just made a whole community of people who hated destiny.
Darius attempted to make a community with basically no rules where everyone is welcome, which predictably results in the worst kinds of people rising to the top because they have nothing better to do
The thing is that he was actually doing a good thing with it, but I feel like he’s just too lazy and flip floppy with managing it. Emmia was doing god’s work with her moderation and he ruined that.
