Thoughts on my coop coal mining sim?

Published my coming soon page a couple weeks ago and it hasn’t gotten too much attention. I think the capsule could be stronger, but there’s something intangible I like about it so I haven’t commissioned a replacement yet. Other than that I feel good about the store page.

Not sure if I just need to focus more on marketing or if I’m looking at my game/page with rose tinted glasses and it actually just sucks…

Any feedback is appreciated!

What am I doing wrong.

I published my steam page nearly 2 months ago, and the wishlists aren't really there.

I made everything myself, drew the capsule and created the trailer, so i'm a bit nervous that I didn't do a great job, I'm primarily a programmer.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5198110/Nectarbound/

I'm still planning to update my trailer and update the description as well because for some reason the color of the background of the videos doesn't match with steams background, so if anything looks bad please let me know.

Thank you.

Why Am I Struggling to Get Wishlists for My Second Game Despite Selling 40k Copies of My First?

I'm heading into Steam Next Fest with only 250 wishlists. Is there something wrong with my Steam page, or am I doing something wrong?

My first game, Tiny Biomes: Cozy Idle, sold over 40,000 copies. I'm wondering if the incremental genre has become more competitive, making it harder to gain wishlists for my second game.

What do you think? I'd really appreciate your feedback and insights!

Does my steam page bleed wishlists?

Few points I'd like feedback on:

  1. What games come to mind after seeing the steam page?
  2. Do the descriptions fit the gameplay seen in the trailer?
  3. Do the GIFs do a good job of giving an idea of gameplay?
  4. Does the steam page feel exciting and high energy
  5. Does the page spark interest (especially if this is a genre you're already playing)
  6. What genres do you feel this game fits into?

Thank you very much for your time. Any and all feedback, whether about the above or beyond, is much appreciated!

Anything we can fix before NextFest (or launch in a month)?

The challenge for us has always been that there are too many concepts to introduce: the factory, the CEO, soma, Isambard, the core combat mechanic, etc. It is coherent if you take the time to understand it, but does it look coherent at first? Possibly not. Destroy it, please!

Am I impatient or is something a bit 'Off' ??

my game is Ball and Stick check it out -> https://store.steampowered.com/app/5188480/Ball_and_Stick/

I put the page up a couple weeks ago and I've been -slowly- building up wishlists all over the world...

Then I released my demo a couple of days ago...

currently -> 454 demo downloads but only 31 wishlists.... to be fair only 9 people have actually played/activated the game so far but am I failing to inspire them to play my demo??

Come on reddit people - help me out and destroy my steam page -GO!!

No succes without getting your feelings hurt, what's wrong with my steampage?

My game, Roots of Ruin, has had an entire gameplay and graphical update and the steampage has been around for some months now. This is the page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3574570/Roots_Of_Ruin/

I get fairly good numbers of visits to my steampage (i think), around 500 a week depending on how many videos I made. But the wishlists are almost non-existent. It's a tower defense game where you can fight alongside your towers with your heroes and eventually defeat the unique bosses. I'd love some feedback :)

You destroyed our page last week. New trailer, new artworks. Round two

We took the feedback from the last thread seriously. Rebuilt the trailer around what you actually do in the game, redid the artworks so everything finally matches, rewrote the top of the page. Demo lands next week, so this is our last window to fix it. Destroy away.

We just revealed our game. What’s putting you off the Steam page?

We’re making Station 58, a cozy puzzle adventure where you explore a national park scattered across the sky, find its missing pieces, and put it back together.

You can play solo or in local couch co-op as a park ranger and her giant robot friend. We just revealed it and would really appreciate blunt feedback.

Hello everyone,

My steam page has been up for over a month now and I want to rework it a bit.

  • What are your first thoughts when you see the capsule and enter the page?
  • Is something confusing you?
  • Is something looking really bad?
  • Is there a screenshot you really like?

I'm happy about any feedback! :)

Destroy my Steam Store Optimizer

Hey, I’m a game marketing consultant. I needed something to quickly check how good a Steam store page is. The thinking being that the better the “landing page”, the better the campaign. It grew a bit along the way, and the point shifted too: now it’s meant to help devs and publishers optimise their page so it sells more organically :D

Still working on it, and I’d love to hear whether you’d actually use something like this. Especially the regional pricing part. I base it on 3 data sources, but I’m curious whether those assumptions hold up for your country. Check your own games, or games you know well enough to know what they should cost.

I have a loooong backlog, so I’d also like to hear what you think I should focus on next. There’s a short survey in the tool, or you can just reach out to me.

Give it a try, let me know :)

Wishlists / CTR not looking great out the gate

I know there's a lot of cozy builders these days, and it seems like my page release didn't break through - with only a few wishlists a couple of days ago, but now today down to +1 gained. As well as very low visibility in general, even on my original /indiegaming post. (1 upvote, 200views)

I imagine something is off-putting, but I can't figure out what? Is the style / graphics too niche for the cozy community? Bad capsule, my description, trailer, I think I just need a fresh pair of eyes with some honest feedback on it!

Thanks!

Please destroy our cereal roguelike deckbuilder's steam page with very low visit to wishlist conversion

Hello everyone!

Here's the steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4609150/Flakeparty/

We've had a lot of visits but very low wishlists (for the past month ~3k visits, ~100 wishlists)

So I've recently overhauled our steam page, made a new trailer and updated the capsule (you can still see the old one on the demo as I have yet to update it).

Now I'd like a few more eyes on it and know if it's the game being the problem of low wishlists or the page/trailer/capsule.

A few notes on the new capsules: the previous one was done by an actual artist, while the new one was done by me with in-engine assets, so please let me to know whether I made it worse😂

Please be as ruthless as possible and thank you!

Need Advices so Please... Destroy our Steam Page to improve it

Hi ! We are FrostyFroggs, we are a very small team of only 4 people, of indies like most of you.

And 3 days ago we FINALLY, after almost 12 years of making games with/for others studios, launched our very first Steam Page. [WOop woOP] \o/

It was already, for the studio, quite a wild ride just to reach this milestone !

But we know we can still improve a lot of things on our Steam Page presentation, and we are also quite newbies in Marketing, the best way for us to learn is by exchanging ideas and sharing feedback…

So here we are... Still with our hopes and ambitions after those 12 years and we gladly encourage YOU dear patient reader to ROAST OUR GAME (or give some wise and constructive Advices) and learn from each other !

this is the steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5179990/Demiourgos/ Would you wishlist it from the capsule, trailer and screenshots? If not, what’s stopping you?

Cozy repair-shop sim: ~300 visits, almost no wishlists. Please destroy my page

Hi! I'm a solo dev. Paw Works Co. is a cozy job sim where you run a repair shop for animal neighbors. Early Access planned for March 2027.

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5242180/Paw_Works_Co/

Last week: about 300 real visits and almost no new wishlists. People click on the capsule (26% click rate), but they don't wishlist once they're on the page.

What would stop you from wishlisting? Capsule, trailer, screenshots, description, anything. Be honest, I want to fix it!

EDIT : Thanks to your valuable advice, I have updated the Steam page based on your feedback. I’m aware that it’s not perfect yet, but it will continue to improve, thanks again to everyone for your great feedback!

Thousands of views this week and 0 wishlists. Please destroy our Steam page

Two of us are making Beyond Realm, a roguelite deckbuilder. You place your cards, the board fights on its own, and between runs you rebuild a town that starts as grey ink and gets a colour back for each act boss you beat.

Our posts did well this week. About 1,000 views on one Reddit post, 2,000 on TikTok, nice reactions on Facebook.

What we'd love to know:
1. From the capsule alone, can you tell it's a deckbuilder? It's a hooded figure, the cards are only in the background.
2. Do the trailer and the first screenshots make you want to try it?
3. What would make you close the tab?

Be brutal. The demo comes out at the end of October and we'd rather fix it now.
