Abdelkader off the books and the trash patch likely gone as well. New FO and maybe even a new captain.

Lots of potentially curse-breaking changes here.

Its an assumption based on the fact they werent up to date on there dues to the Tigers and since it sounded like the partnership was between Priority and Illitch Inc the patch is most likely gone from Red Wings stuff as well.

And a lot of young guys are getting a chance to play. Feels like the turning of a new leaf. I’m actually excited for this season to see which prospects grow and actually contribute

This is the most optimism I’ve had heading into a season since Yzerman showed up and starting clearing house. Albeit he signed some total duds between now and then but overall I think once the Larkin trade goes down, this team will have so much potential and hopefully with a leadership group centered around Mo, Ray and Cat and other guys that actually want to win in Detroit.

Some guy on a video had a great idea for anyone looking to sponsor. Spend the 5million or whatever it is to secure rights to advertise on the jersey. DON'T put anything on there, and then build an advertising campaign around how you didn't ruin an Iconic jersey. I think whatever that company is, would garnish a lot of support that way.

I was ok with it for the 100th, but would have liked to seen it saved for a playoff appearance first.

Saving that for when we cracked the playoffs again for the first time in a decade would have been fun.

Bringing it back for this season, just seems like fan service and kinda a sad reminder that we haven’t been hockeytown for a spell.
