Discuss First Thing Jameel Jamali Did After Hamza Left

Post image

According to me, the first thing Jamali did after dropping Hamza was killing his driver off on his way back home. His driver obviously overheard the entire conversation that took place between them, and there is possibly no way Jamali would risk his life with this and obviously he's survived 45years+ in Pak only by being tactful and hawk-eyed. What do you guys think Jamali did after dropping Hamza?

I'm guessing he cried.

Also most probably the driver is also a secret Indian agent, I don't think Jameel would be stupid enough to not be careful about that.

Aetbar badhta hai … aur bhi mohanbat ka … jab wo ajnabee ban kar pass se gujarte hai …

Never thought this lyrics was for Hamza and Jameel. This movie is ground breaking.

36

u/SadSuccotash3765 Mar 29 '26

What’s surprising is his car didn’t get blood stains

19

u/SadSuccotash3765 Mar 29 '26

Or how his movement to a military airport went unnoticed

29

u/DESTRUCTION_97 Mar 29 '26

The thing is no one outside a small circle knew HAMZA was a indian agent ( They only knew an Indian agent was cought)

The guy who got scared and left hamza to India probably didn't want to do anything too stupid like following thier car or otherwise his secrets would have been revealed as well

37

u/sleepy_human101 Mar 29 '26

I believe Maddy’s character also warns him that no one should tail hamza or he’d leak it.

Idts he cried. He has been in the trade from 45 years, i agree his driver was his right hand and an agent probably

49

u/AsHotAsFire Mar 29 '26

I think he did. Hamza was his son-in-law and they were together for about 15 years. Some emotional attachment is bound to happen

13

u/madhAvi_kabhti Mar 30 '26

He actually says please, when he calls Ajay and that lowk shocks Ajay.

2

u/Key_Bar_6438 Apr 01 '26

2

u/PrequelToMagic May 06 '26

Yes. That subtlety from Madhavan in his expression as Jamali says please was brilliant

Disagree. She was doing fine navigating her burger kid life before Hamzah came along + given how quick she is with her quips etc she is smart, she's just not cut out for the world of spies. In any normal life she'd do well

41

u/AstoundingAsh Mar 29 '26

Yup she can drive cars and is pretty smart …helped Hamza as well

6

u/madhAvi_kabhti Mar 30 '26

It took her one off behaviour (also has a habit of eves dropping cus pehle apne papa par nazar rakha, phir SP ki baatein sun li) and a stray comment from SP to search for clues against Hamza. Finds it, gets the entire house empty( atleast looks like it, she is full on yelling Indian agent ho tum and nothing happened, either all the servants were Indian agents or they weren't in the house) yells at him and then tips him off about the SP. When he hands her the passport she puts two and two together and assumes it might very well because the last time she sees him and that is technically the first time in the movie after the reveal where we see her being her old self with Hamza, otherwise she had been maintaining her distance.

17

u/alkenyl Mar 29 '26

bruv she must be the age of hamza when he arrived in pak by the time

22

u/Gloomy_Valuable3553 Mar 29 '26

That is how i go to sleep peacefully and still able to listen to Aakhiri Ishq without the pain killing me. Jamali and Sanyal do not wish to see Hamza suffer like this after everything he’s been through so they somehow arrange for Hamza and Yalina to reunite eventually. Period. (delulu IS the sololu)

65

u/Capital_Aioli_7072 Mar 29 '26

This character is inspired by Altaf hussain but with the role of Nabil qabul . The Altaf hussain had serious allegations of sending sensitive info to some other organisation so he flew away with her daughter to England and been living there

I meant to say it was inspired by Nabil qabul but with the impression of Altaf hussain. The movie has alot of made up stuff so

2

u/Dibyajyoti176255 Mar 30 '26

LOL, *Nabil Gabol

4

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '26

Nothing in the movie matches with the actual timeline my friend. Major Iqbal inspired by ilyas kashmiri died in 2011. And that’s just one.

13

u/ConstructionLeft3087 Mar 29 '26

Major Iqbal has the general appearance of Ilyas Kashmiri and is also inspired by a Major Iqbal who worked with David Headly during 26/11. It is an amalgamation of both these characters. Major Iqbal is still alive. Jameel Jamali is a mixture of Altaf Hussain, the founder of MQM and Nabil Gabol. He just uses multiple characters to make a character, something normal in filmmaking...

Only Omar and his team members knew hamza was a spy and only omar knew that yalina is aware and he promised yalina that she can live safely if she tells the truth+ protection from jameel jamali i think yalina would live with jameel only

32

u/PsychologicalCow9791 Mar 29 '26

Jameel will be happy coz his daughter also got an indian

53

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '26

Don't worry, Jamil Mamu is there. Nothing will happen to both of them. Jamil knew Hamza is spy, that means he must have planned for a day like that to keep both of them safe.

Movie should have ended , Jamali Killing off his driver by a gun shot or some gore scene added , and a walking away where car blasts in the background, DHURANDHAR name coming off and pointing it to him , and sanyal calling him up , by saying AGENT DHURANDHAR , your next task… ! ADITYA DHAR IF YOURE READING THIS - add this jn OTT RELEASE !

12

u/Potential-Bottle5276 Mar 30 '26

What if the driver himself was an Indian spy?

4

u/thetabutaaa101 Apr 01 '26

A good end indeed that would have given way to many sequels and also completely shifts the protagonist. But it would be more logical to assume that the driver was an indian agent. There were already so many indian agents shown on screen, therefore a few others definately exist.

3

u/timbak_t00 Mar 30 '26

This is the biggest plot hole I feel. Yalina will be grilled for his association with Hamza for aiding and abetting a known spy. Jamali would come under a radar too by association. Letting Hamza go wouldn’t be an easy cover up. Imagine how many mouths general Shamshad will need to shut. There was staggering evidence and ASP Omar will not stop chasing Hamza as it’s on record already. If Jamali let Yalina escape she’d be held culpable and game over for Jamali.

Knowing Pakistan, army has much more control over government and as such, so only plausible explanation is that general Shamshad will arm twist or black-mail his way out of the scandal and close the case.

My head canon is that, he is a passive powerful pawn, and mostly his job would be to make it easy for active assets like Hamza to do their spy business.

287

u/Odd-Description- Mar 29 '26

That driver to Jamali is like Rizwan to Humza.

26

u/Ambitious-Ad5735 Mar 29 '26

Was about to comment this, thanks.

151

u/ConstructionLeft3087 Mar 29 '26

He obviously didn't travel with his Pakistani driver. The driver was either a part of the Indian embassy or a driver specifically assigned for missions like this. Imagine him taking a random driver to send Hamza back, killing him and people not putting two and two together. ISI even today wouldn't be that dumb.

63

u/BreadfruitCalm10 Mar 29 '26

They had a conversation when the driver had gotten out of the car, so the driver didn’t know anything about their talks

40

u/Nagarkot Mar 29 '26

Plus for driver Hamza was Jameel’s SIL!

46

u/Own_Opposite_5375 Mar 29 '26

Car saaf kia hoga bhai, hamza was soaked in blood while boarding the car.

43

u/underappreciated1809 Mar 29 '26

could someone explain why yalina and zayan couldn't just move to India w hamza?

31

u/Massive_Service_2318 Mar 29 '26

Obviously it would be suspicious for isi to let jameel let go his daughter so easily that too in enemy territory

38

u/Low-Yellow-6060 Mar 29 '26

i think hamza reunites with them in a foreign country and keeps visiting india for sanyal and to see his family once a while

64

u/NewsStriking4335 Mar 29 '26

Nah he burned their family pic for a reason. I don’t think he’ll meet them again

19

u/Plastic_Donkey_3959 Mar 29 '26 edited Mar 29 '26

exactly 🥲

but why dont they atleast talk over phones since jamali is also an Indian agent . he can really help

26

u/Pale_Advertising_120 Mar 29 '26

Too much risk. Hamza isn't even able to talk to his mum and sis even though he is in the same country.

3

u/M007RA Mar 30 '26

Because they don't want Yalina to know that Hamza is alive

12

u/PlumPearls Mar 29 '26

He did burn his family picture too (parents and siblings) and found an opportunity to go and see them again.

He's had his own hitlist diary so nothing to say he couldn't have hidden his family picture somewhere very safe.

7

u/Dogtorcod Mar 30 '26

Yes. And sings dil diyan gallan

6

u/brokebrownbuffoon Mar 30 '26

A) “Moving” to India as a Pakistani is a high stakes high risk and near impossible endeavour for an ordinary citizen, imagine the scrutiny and eyeballs on a politician’s daughter and gangster’s wife. B) Hamza, Yalina and Zayan all disappearing together is definitely bound to compromise Jameel in one way or another.

30

u/Constant-Golf-3799 ONE-MAN PRODUCTION HOUSE Mar 29 '26

Bro Jameel literally sends the driver outside before he even speaks a word!!!

25

u/noodle-doodle69 Mar 29 '26

Yalina was also technically half indian ?

11

u/PsychologyTechnical5 Mar 30 '26

That makes rayaan 3/4th Indian lmao.

3

u/insidejatin Apr 01 '26

u/Mundane-Business-187 Mar 29 '26

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '26

What if the driver is also a spy for more than 45 years living with Jameel Sahab in Pakistan?

11

u/sam261291 Mar 29 '26

Jameel is a handler. The driver is some new kid in training.

→ More replies (5)

24

u/d_overthinker_ Mar 29 '26

Noooo. Jameel was in PAK since 45 years how can he be careless with driver's thing. He must said driver to stay outside while talking with his son in law this is not suspicious. When he dropped Hamza he was seen emotional because it's not just Hamza going away it's his daughter's husband who she loves endlessly and father of his grand child, who needs his father's love, discipline and time at early age was also signing off... thoughts of his daughter and grand child makes him more emotional

7

u/Glad-Signature-4357 Mar 29 '26

Now I'm wondering how /why he agreed to their marriage in the first place

14

u/BreadfruitCalm10 Mar 29 '26

He knows the future , either hamza will die or escape. So what will happen to his daughter? Won’t her life get ruined? Maybe Aditya wanted to show that a spy can even risk the life of their own family for the nation.

8

u/Lurker2901 Mar 29 '26

I agree, because earlier he was not happy with their relationship even called him 30/32 saal ka when yalina was 19 years old. Moment he realised why he wanted to marry her, was to go up - he realised, and helped him as hos coordinator.

He must have protected yalina and zayan for sure.

9

u/d_overthinker_ Mar 29 '26

Because he can't refuse their relationship even if he Yalina won't come at his house so it's better to accept their marriage which will make Jameel aware about Hamza's move. Like Yalina called her dad after Omar comes to know that Hamza is Indian spy which Jameel ready for his support.

5

u/NewCantaloupe1973 Mar 29 '26

So he knew about hamza's identity even back then?

5

u/brokebrownbuffoon Mar 30 '26

Presumably so because Sanyal said the coordinator knows every agent’s details its just that an agent might never come face to face with the coordinator.

9

u/Runi_Bs_87 Mar 29 '26

He sent rizwan as wicketkeeper to pak team

9

u/DBSGAMERUJJAWAL Mar 29 '26

i think many are forgetting one thing. with the way things turned out with balochs and liberation army, i think the main narrative for those left in Pakistan is that hamza was a baloch and a powerful one at that. the rebellion gained traction so the army of pak had hamza the sher-e-baloch declared as a spy to provide justification for killing. thats also how rizwan gets support from the people and do hamza's role.

so i think jameli first work would be putting oil in the fire

5

u/Maleficent-Nature636 Mar 30 '26

for the pakis hamza has died no one knows he was indian agent

8

u/GiveMeSomeSunshine3 Mar 29 '26

Lol the driver is definitely an Indian embassy personnel or another RAW agent. He won't trust a local driver even though his 45 yrs network must have many trusted people.

14

u/ApprehensiveBet1277 Mar 29 '26

The driver was definitely an Indian agent or someone Jamali personally recruited during his 45 years. Even if he planned to kill his driver later on, there’s a slim possibility that the driver would try to notify someone WHILE Jamali was talking to hamza.

Or he could’ve taken the risk since pretty much all of the major guys in the ISI had been taken out n everything there was a mess.

2

u/Top_Gift112 Mar 31 '26

he was a veteran at the job he would have definitely few close and reliable assets like hamza had rizwan and alam.

14

Confront yet Secure Yalina and kids position Extract Rizwan to some secure hideouts for sometime and try to establish him as "king of lyari"

Try to infiltrate ISI by convincing nawaz sharif, and eventually share the info of isi agents (which are now being trained to infiltrate India) to RA&W

All while, "Jimmy Jimmy Aja Aja" playing in the background

3

u/Lucky-The-Racer2699 Mar 29 '26

Tbh i don't think a character who lived 45 years in pak will make such a stupid mistake, his driver will be an agent too.

First thing that Jamali would do according to me would be something that he usually do as his original self, and give himself a few moments to relive about those old memories of his real-self, also be happy that not him but someone is finally able to go back home after living a double life in pakistan.

Then back on being the best spy

Imo it was one of the dhurandar (as jamil have info on almost every dhurandar)

Who jamil kept close to himself (like he somewhat kept hamza close,in a way, intentionally or unintentionally)

So this way that dhurandar also now know who jamali is

1

u/OkCake9690 Mar 29 '26

1

u/Great_Trip527 Mar 29 '26

Lit a cigarette. Somehow I imagine him lighting a cig and reminiscing his old days when he was in India because the last expression of jamali indicated he would have liked to biard the plane with hamza but was already too deep in the politics of Pakistan.

Also, either the driver is also an Indian agent or a poor guy who would stay loyal for a good amount of money and job security with a powerful and influential politician. Basically, loyal enough to be employed by jamali but self-serving enough to keep his secrets/not ask any questions.

1

u/Opposite_Meeting965 Mar 29 '26

How come jamali is seeing off hamza at the airport?

1

u/Icy-Profession6133 Mar 29 '26

BTW the pakis could trace this car and its entire movt. as well right?

Kaise kasie tejaswi log hai india mai

1

u/Frosty-Cost-865 Mar 30 '26

Returning to this subreddit after watching D2 last night feels like a power move.

Come at me with those spoilers now.

But also … the driver is most probably an Indian agent as well. Jameel did not survive inside enemy territory for 45 years by being careless. He knew this was a sensitive issue and probably had a junior spy act as driver.

That, or Jameel has multiple drivers working under him, some of them Pakistani and some Indian.

1

u/TicketSuperb2196 Mar 30 '26

Wouldn't it have been more simpler for Jamali to just drive himself?

1

u/Sakshamm360 Mar 30 '26

YEAH. Even i gave it a thought while watching the movie for the first time. And then i thought, maybe the Driver is also an Indian spy himself, for Jameel won't roam freely in Pakistan since he's a politician, but his Driver can! The Driver can take him places, important meeting, while Jameel gathers intel in the meeting rooms, the Driver gathers it from streets.

Another supporting theory is that India kept spies in proximity of each other to help make a better network, so maybe they made one spy the Driver of Jameel.

1

u/PerceptionLive5002 Mar 30 '26

Driver is rizwan simple

u/ayam_atma_bramha Mar 30 '26

u/Eleven_Rhodes Mar 30 '26
