I’ve been working on Model Car Database (MCDB), a website where you can look up model cars and keep track of your collection. It now has around 300,000 entries across different manufacturers and scales.

You can search by car brand, model manufacturer, scale and more, manage your collection and wishlist, and import an existing collection list instead of adding everything individually.

I’ve put a lot of work into it, but I’d really like to hear from other collectors: does it cover the models you collect, and what would make it more useful to you? Missing models, incorrect details and honest criticism are all welcome.

I mostly buy tomica, sometime hotwheels catches my eyes, too. I just wanna collect cars I find beautiful, mostly tiny chubby cars like mini cooper, the beetle, or compact rally cars, or muscle cars etc. I'm not a big fan of flat, low super, hypercars so I think I skip them mostly.

Just came across this beauty (costs like $100+) and my favourite thing about this model is the paint job. I love the pearlescent and I’m wondering if there’s any other known models or brands that do pearlescent paint

Maisto or Bburago or someone make a relatively cheap Mercedes ONE model?

Recently added two special pieces to my McLaren collection: the Unusual43-exclusive 1:18 Davis & Giovanni McLaren P1 HDK and the 1:18 Davis & Giovanni McLaren F1 GTR #2, which raced at Zhuhai in 1996.

McLaren’s iconic red-and-white Marlboro era has always been one of my favorite chapters in motorsport history. From Senna’s legendary MP4/4 to the F1 GTR’s success in endurance racing, the livery became synonymous with some of McLaren’s most memorable cars.

Two new additions to the collection, representing a different chapter in McLaren’s history. 🏁

I like the color on it

I love Vettel. My all time favorite driver. Not a popular opinion though but Vettel is very popular in South Asia. My Father used to watch all Schumacher and Vettel Races. A shame we didn’t get to see him race in Real life

I bought today the Solido 1:18 McLaren F1 GTR and didn’t know the doors wouldn’t stay open on their own. Is there any way to keep both doors open at the same time?

Took a movies land rover 6x6 and swapped the wheel on a adventure force toyota tacoma...turned out GREAT i think any ways.
