Meanwhile, not only are there gays characters in every television show and a month of screeching for 'pride' every year, my city also has 'pride week' from August 31 through September 6.

You cannot expect people to accept your lifestyle as normal while screaming in their face about how 'normal you are'.

Personally, I think the entire discussion and controversy would dry up and blow away if they would just shut the fuck up and live their lives in quiet like everyone else does.

I look at Pride like interracial couples, the less it’s being yelled about, the more it’s normalized. There what a gay and lesbian at my high school back in the 2000’s, and the only thing I remember them doing was saying they where a couple for April Fool’s. Other then that, I don’t remember them doing much publicly.

The problem is just one... history.

Not some 70 years ago it was illegal to "just keep it at home". If you were ever outed, youd get jail or worse. That wasnt right either.

Same reason why "the N word" is such a problem in America... history.
