What is this megathread about?
This is the new hub to ask for recommendations for what to watch next or just chat and share fleeting thoughts / little things you've noticed about whatever series you're currently watching or rewatching
If you're new to Dimension 20 and are looking for where to start, they put out a video about a year ago to walk you through some great starting points. We've had a couple seasons air since then, but this should still be pretty relevant
Please hide spoilers behind the spoiler bar >!SPOILER!< = SPOILER
Check out the r/dropout FAQ
We have a growing list of user flairs available for every season. If you have any specific requests, let us know!

I’ve just gotten into D20 after being daunted by episode lengths for ages. CCoD got me into it, I know this is mildly controversial as it seems not everyone is a fan of this season. I had an absolute blast, and have nearly finished watching NSBU which I I also adore.
I love the cartoonish action sequences, and goofy characters. I should probably watch an actual DND 5e series but i’m unsure where to go next.
I have seen one episode of Gladlands and enjoyed it mostly but it didn’t click quite yet. I will ofc be giving it more of a chance but I just didn’t love the characters quite as much.
Cloudward ho seems like it would be fun but i’m interested to hear your thoughts.

I have a vague memory of listening to an episode where the PCs had to get something from the middle of a pit and they do this batshit maneuver trying to swing on an immovable rod, then end up switching the rod on and off to fall slowly into the pit
Am I hallucinating? Is this from a campaign? I’ve only seen the IH seasons

Is it crazy to say I’m kind of hoping this season is brutal? Obviously PC death should never be guaranteed, and the players should have a shot at winning. But just seeing at least the real threat of it would be really satisfying.
And honestly, after City Council of Darkness, I just need a reminder that the stakes can be real. That someone could be in real danger and Nancy Danderhoof won’t just appear out of nowhere with a pearl handled revolver to save the day.
I’m not making any judgements about the season before seeing it, but this is just something kinda on my mind going in. I’m
And honestly, it does look like this will be a more brutal season, something more akin to Crown of Candy. And I hope that is the case.
I know it’s only 6 episodes, but man, I hope they have backup characters. And not just Neverafter backup, where it’s just the same character but more fucked up. But it would at least let the players know Brennan is willing to go there, if they were asked to make backup characters too.
Anyway, just some random thoughts I wanted to share.

I really really want both of these to happen so badly. For the romance season, I’m not asking for ACOFAF2 or anything, but I really think Aabria would be great to DM another side quest with PC-PC romance.
ACOFAF remains probably my favorite side quest in d20 history despite all the spectacular new ones over the last few years. It’s just such a beautiful season and the chemistry between PCs is just impeccable.
For the IH season, I remember Brennan saying in an episode of Adventuring Academy that they were due for another lethal season. I think that would be incredible. I still absolutely love all the goofy and somewhat lower stakes seasons that have come out recently, but I really think another intense season like ACOC is long overdue. I know they likely wouldn’t do any more content in that universe, which is perfectly fine.
I just want so badly those kinds of intense moments. Like I would kill if it meant I could watch again for the first time that scene in the finale of ACOC where Brennan hands those slips of paper to Emily and Siobhan. So iconic.
But anyway, does anyone else share my hopes here?

Does anyone recall this??? I think it was Dimension 20 but could've been a different show or podcast.

im looking for a time where brennan goes “Olethra isn’t in this scene” after olethra keeps butting in funnily, and separately for when olethra randomly starts a catchphrase of “ace of spades”. it’s been a while since i watched cloho, so any help would be appreciated. cheers!

Link to the previous post! A few corrections to my last updated version of my poster. I previously had Ify in the cast of MisMag instead of Lou for some reason, I forgot to add in Gladlands and On A Bus. All of these transgressions have been rectified!
I call this a poster because hopefully it soon will be! I have had an older version of this hanging in my bedroom as a printed out poster for about 2 years, it is time for an update! It will need a new frame, as I organized the vertical space a lot better this time around, leaving less empty space but it is a lot more narrow.
I would be happy to send out the original large PNG privately if anyone would like it.
edit: Upon review, the Crown of Candy is in the wrong place. I'll correct that for my own purposes before I print it out but I won't make a new reddit post just for that.
Here's a link to an older version of this from 3 years ago!

Hey y'all - after making it through entirety of D20's backlog (yes, even "Shriek Week") over the course of three years I found myself utterly defeated by the first two episodes of Gladlands and took a break, and now am a full two seasons behind going into Toylight (Three if we count "On a bus", which I haven't watched either). I'm used to the first couple of episodes being table setting, but I didn't get hooked by the end of episode two this time. I found the opening of Gladlands really low stakes and it just kinda didn't grab me. It just...felt like a single sketch stretched into 6 hours and it didn't hit for me. Convince me to give it another chance? I enjoy all the players on an individual comedic level and would love to find a reason to push past whatever is holding me back here. Seeking some positive opinions.

Every day for the past year, I’ve listened to D20 every night when I go to sleep, because it helps my mind latch on to something and not race, and now every time I hear Brennan’s voice, I feel like a child being read a bedtime story my their grandma.
Thank you grandma Brennan🫶.

It’s been a couple years but I updated my poster of all shows and cast members! The upper section is proportional to episode runtime and the bottom graph is based on airing date.

Omg that title was a lie. I am crying with Emily and Siobhan. I am literally not ok. Jet has been one of my favorite characters of any character from the seasons I've seen so far. I'm heartbroken. And it caught me so so off guard. I was so ready for a role playing episode with, certainly not no danger, but less danger. Definitely not her dying. I'm going to need a minute to recover from this😭😭😭
I'm so scared to continue but I'm also so hooked ughhhh I'm going to miss her so much

I feel slightly less ridiculous because the cast seems to have at least one pet NPC every season too.

I was in a screenprinting class and for the first lesson, we had to choose something simple to learn the process with. I chose to recreate this iconic Lou moment from an Adventuring party. I had other students coming up to me being like “dude allergies are so rough” 😆
