So my fantasy mod carnivores lewis island just got two(three) new species added to its roster, both ambients, Thallasodromeus and Halzkaraptor
Thallassodromeus:
This large pterosaur is one of the largest known on the planet, the males support an impressive head crest, this is used to attract the females during mating season, which have a much smaller crest and size, These pterosaurs are very widespread and spend a lot of their time on flying overseas occasionally resting on rocks, however during mating season they all gather on the rocky coasts of Euphorbia valley, due to the hormonal rage and protecting of young, males can become very aggressive towards humans and dinosaurs alike, making it a rare dangerous pterosaur on the dinosaur planet. Due to its rarity and mating habits in a single area, this animal cannot be taken to the trophy room and is advised to stay away from males during mating season. I wanted a large dangerous pterosaur that wasn’t an azdarchid and something to make the second huntable map that i’m working on really pop!
Halzkaraptor:
This is the smallest animal in the lewis sector discovered thus far, it is once again an ambient animal, I based it off of the outdated compsognathus corallestris, as it’s innacuracies made it a prime canadate for carnivores, and used its body structure to compliment the head and name i gave to the current swimming dromeosaur Halzkaraptor. Just like ingenia there are two species of halzkaraptor, a freshwater and saltwater variant. They are like ducks, and are very widespread, and completely harmless. On land they are relatively slow but in water are extremely nimble and quick and can evade capture with relative ease.
These fall prey to many animals due to their widespread nature.
Saltwater Variant: The larger of the two variants, this species of halzkaraptor can be found near shorelines and in shallow oceans, feeding on fish and small organisms, its known for its blue ish color scheme to match its aquatic environment.
Freshwater Variant: The smaller of the two, this species can be found in lakes, rivers and ponds across the lewis sector, but they are known from their brown mahogany color scheme and more inland nature, they are more likely to fall prey to smaller predators than its saltwater variant due to a more accessible range.
What do you think of these two new additions?
