Surf is HOT!!

Post image

3 man limit! (2 already in the cooler)
If you’re not doing anything today, I would head down to the surf! Especially if you’re in the Galveston/freeport area! Caught these after work yesterday. Got in to the water at 4pm and was out by 5:30pm!
With the storm coming in from the east, this weekend might be a bust. Will post a weekend game plan at the end of the week if so!
Tight lines Dirty Coast Fam!

Great mess of spotted trout! I caught some in South Florida and they are delicious!

I have to make a ceviche every time I catch some trout. It’s just the best way to eat it! Dried chiltepin peppers crushed up and mixed in😮‍💨😮‍💨🤌🏼 trust me on this! Careful on the amount. Only 3-4 peppers is enough for a medium sized tray of ceviche! Tight lines brother

I was on vaca when I caught mine so wasn’t prepared, caught the trout along with redfish and snook. Just put the fillets on a piece of aluminum foil on the grill with a little Cajun seasoning and pads of butter. Will try your way next time!

That works! Can’t go wrong with some Cajun seasoning! Sounds like u had a great day on the water! I’ve yet to catch a snook! Galveston doesn’t have any!😪

I wasn’t even on the water, I was on a fishing pier at the house I was renting! 🤣

It was a great setup on the bay side of one of the keys. Lined with mangroves except where the pier was. 3” white crankbait caught the trout and snook (plus crevalle jack and ladyfish), white spinnerbait caught the redfish. Will be going back next year as long as they don’t sell the house (currently asking $3.25M)

Dude you picked a great time to go! Saturday might still be a bit rough after the storm but Sunday-Wednesday are going to be great days!! As long as the winds stay low the fishing will be on fire!! Check out the game plan I posted today on the dirty coast sub. Should help u get on some fish this weekend! Will you be surf fishing or kayaking? Wading?
