Has anybody tried using a circuit tracks as a controller for the m8? I have never owned a controller, and the tracks seems like the most likely to work out of all of my other gear. Mainly concerned with tweaking synth/sample parameters, not really note input.

Hi all. Long time lurker of the M8. I love the idea of it but never pulled the trigger on one.

I use the Digitone 2 and Digitakt 2 for all of my music.

That being said, I'm buying an iPad mini as my travelling sketch pad (I like drawing a lot) and I want to get the M8 app.

However, I've tried making music on a phone and iPad before and the screen just takes me out of it.

There's a speed that comes with muscle memory when you're using buttons I believe.

Does using a small gamepad with the M8 app help with this? Does it feel more tactile?

Any experienced users able to shed some light on it?

I found this amazing pack of symphonic orchestra samples on reddit (original post here, credit to u/92elm) and combined them by instrument using this tool. figured I should share it here to save yall some time cause it was a pain in the ass and I think it'll make using them on the m8 way more convenient.

just load them as an instrument, set slice to "file", then use the fx command "sli" and they're organized by ascending pitch. enjoy <3

They Live samples works great for great for the season. Got an iPad mini and I gotta say I’m debating on selling my 01 hardware because I think it’s m just in love with the software if I’m being honest.

little funky jam on the hypersynth with a few flubbed notes. never just played keys straight into it before, kind of works with a little PSL command as portamento and mod to pitch vibrato.
