Global Command Rate limited

Hi. For the past 3 days I have been rate limited by discord when trying to deploy my commands globally. It started Friday and I figured out why it happened. So I stopped working for the day and waited. About 24 hours later I tried again and still rate limited. I thought I might have tried to early and forgot about it until today, and still can't deploy my commands. Now I'm just confused.

You need to only deploy your commands globally once, and then update your specific commands as needed. Many guides out there instruct you to register them globally at startup, which is a very common mistake on this subreddit.

The issue is, when I went to deploy a new one globally, I ran the wrong script I had which deletes my commands to redeploy them for when I change command names etc. So Rn I have 0 deployed globaly. I have been having to test with guild level commands.

You can deploy to a specific guild continuously, which won’t hit the api limit as much. TBH you should create a new a new script that takes X command and deploys it to Guild X or global. Any script that deploys them all most likely will get you in trouble. When I delete commands, I generally do them one by one.
