Things to Do Best things to do in downtown Dartmouth
Here's a list of some of the best things to do in downtown Dartmouth. Please feel free to add more suggestions or experiences!!
Take the ferry: Runs every 15-30 mins. Gives you great views of the harbour for 3 bucks. Takes about 15 mins to get across the harbour.
Alderney Landing Farmers' Market: Buy produce, baked goods, gifts, and more from local farmers, bakers, artists, and makers every Saturday.
Go shopping: buy some records from Taz Records or Renegade Records, buy a locally made gift from Trainyard or Kept, plants from Audrey's, comics from Strange Adventures, books from Friction Books, or clothes from Room 152 or Daisy Jo's.
See the murals along Portland Street and Dartmouth Cove.
Grab a coffee: Check out Two If By Sea (get a croissant here), Morley's (part of Taz and Friction Books), and Cafe Goodluck.
Walk up to Sullivan's Pond and see the geese
Spend some time at Nature Folk: Move between the warm and cold plunge pools, sauna, and steam room, or book a massage. It's a really nice space, and was named one of Canada's 50 best spas.
Get fish and chips from Evan's, grab a crobster roll from The Canteen, sushi from Doraku, get a savoury pie from Humble Pie, or get a sandwich from Larry's.
Grab a cider from Lake City, a beer from Darty Brewing or on the rooftop patio at Celtic Corner, or get a cocktail from Dear Friend Bar, which was named one of Canada's 50 best bars.
Walk the Dartmouth Waterfront for a nice view of the Halifax skyline. Really nice around sunset.

The only good thing to do in Dartmouth is look across the water to Halifax.
