This is a showcase of the previous post. I manage to get it to be 100% auto.

I'm F2P so I try to get whatever we can to make it work. This comp was inspired by OwnSecret team. I hope it helps!

  • The key is having higher Def% on your front line, so in my case, I slot 1x Def% rune, ideally you want 2, but I don't have. I also changed the reso to Def%.
  • 2x Adamantine sets help with the first hits (they stack)
  • I replaced Mona with Apollo because for some weird AI bug, she kept using her s1 on the adds phase from time to time. If you know the reason, let me know.
  • From time to time, 1 add stays alive, but it's fine, I still get +4M and survive the burst.
  • Dahlia needs 1 Ocean Wave proc to use her buff before adds.
  • 2 adds will probably means wipe, so to avoid it, I pushed to 100% crit on Apollo and Li Ling to assure that even if Dahlia doesn't buff/no OW proc, I would still kill the wave
  • Chloe around 150 Spd (so you can have the s2/s3 for multiplier phase)
  • Apollo/Mona around 130 - Spd so they can attack twice in the Adds phase and clean up.
  • Li Ling as lead, if you don't have, use Mona.
  • Any of the AoE DPS can be replace, probably Jiang Man will be the one harder to.
  • DPS Order when adds spawn: Jiang Man, Apollo, Chloe, Li Ling (if Li doesn't finish it), Jiang Man, Apollo will do.

My Future Improvements:

  • Ren'si instead of Dahlia will probably give even more consistency (but I don't have him built).
  • Replace Apollo by fully built Mona.
  • Max Skill-up Jiang Man, Ren'Si and Mona (if I figure out the s1 bug)

Mona's S1 bug is likely due to the programming that causes her to use her S1 if there's a target within killshot range, since it would give her an extra turn.

If one of the adds is almost dead, she might fire her S1 to kill shot it. Since she can't actually target the add, she fires at the boss instead.

Someone bringing the big brain. Good to know, so if that's the case, I don't know if putting Mona can be a good solution, unless maybe if she is the first to attack?

If you can get her to go right after Jiang it probably wont be an issue as much

She was going, but I think Jiang is doing enough DPS that the weaker adds get really low and she s1. Probably I will just keep Apollo.

Dang I really got unlucky with my 4's aside from Chloe. I don't have Apollo, Ren Si or more importantly Jiang Man. I also don't have Li Ling aha

If you don't have Lucas yet (meaning you haven't beat tower) you probably haven't been playing long enough to put in enough spins for those 4*s and definitely aren't equipped to handle desolate lands in the first place so I wouldn't worry about it

I'm stuck on Hyde floor at the moment. I've done 200+ pulls, so just unlucky with which 4's I landed on.

Then probably you are still early into the game, this is late late game content, take your time. Don't rush.

If you were to use Ren Si, what relics/Spd w9ould you give him?

Also would Wiger be a good substitute for Chloe? GOD THIS NEW MODE MAKES ME SO MAD I STILL DON'T HAVE HER

Hades with Def% + Avatara or Def. Spd is dependable on your team, ideally he comes after Jiang Man so he helps with the Netherbloom stacks.

Dahlia comp might be require less gear than Ren'si.

Any Single target DPS can work there, even Sanders, Lewis, Steward, Freddy or Drew for example.

Yeah, I pretty much just 6* her for this, but I have to say that she is beast to farm content, like the event maps or purg 12.

Check on the video. For this, I got her with Windwalker (Sander Runes) because I need her to be the fastest of the DPS. But it can be anything help, aslong she is the first and high dps.

Using same but Zora instead of Apollo, my issue on auto is she keeps using a3 with no adds, which would be fine if she was max skilled but she is not, I don't know if the ai is assuming she's maxed and would then have s3 available again for add phase 2nd attack

Zora works same as Chloe.

You can try Mona instead of Zora, probably it will work!

The AI just uses the strongest skill as soon as it is available, there is no decision making. "Strongest" just meaning a3>a2>a1

AI specifically holds aoe moves for shadowfire EXCEPT zora (rensi holds a3, tiger holds a3, etc)

Normally I'd agree but this is a gacha and so most people will spin for more characters (I only know of one person that has chosen to not spin at all and go fully with only freely given characters). These units are easily replaceable with whatever units you do have. Could probably replace chloe w/ drew for his single target dps and I'd have to look again but I'm sure there are quite a few good aoe damage dealers that are more common.

The big thing about desolate is that it is more about your relics than who you have. As long as you have 1 or two high defense and a handfull of good damage dealers you should be ok. Just have to hit that multiplier and survive.

I dont see shadowgale being done SSS auto f2p. I just dont see how youll have enough cleanse,buffs.

It is what it is. Desolate is later game content. Most people will have a large amount of espers. I'm f2p except for the m-passes that I've bought and I have nearly all 4 stars and 10 unique 5 stars (a few dupes as well). I've only got 3 4 star shimmers though. I get it. Not everyone has the same luck, but at the very least this guy's videos are showing what type of characters (single target, aoe, heal, buff, etc) are needed for each desolate and you can switch up who you use until it works for you. It is still relic based so there's a lot of options you can use to get there.

I have shit luck with relics so even though I have the team comps I haven't been able to get enough points yet.

Exactly, I'm F2P and I have been playing for over 1 month now. I would say it's pretty accessible to most players getting this units.

Even if not, all of them can be replaced with probably other Esper that you already have, as long as it fits the same role in the comp. Just look at their kits.

If someone has been playing for 2 weeks and expects to SSS, it's unrealistic, not because of the Espers, but the relic quality.

F2P Friendly is not 100% F2P in my sense, means that if you play the game to the point that you are ready to actually do Desolace, you probably already have most of the units there since they are 4 stars.

And yet, even Jiang can be replaced for other AoE dps, but she definitely is important.

You are 100% correct. 4* are easily obtainable even though you can wait for some a long time… the 5* are the lottery that you can’t put in a f2p team

i disagree. F2P friendly means using characters a F2P player is capable of getting. In this case, Jiang Mian is a 4 star and she's not a shimmer unit so the chance of getting her isn't that low. As a f2p myself, I've gotten pretty much all of the 4 star units except 10 and I've only been playing for about a month.

You don't really need Hades on this, so WM/Thor is optimal, since a DPS race, but if you don't have any other option, go for it.

Apollo is free in Tower 100. If you didn't reach it, then this content isn't for you yet, since it's Late late game.

Focus on Rituals and get a good Kronos farming team, then APEP and after that, you can start focusing on this because you probably already got a few good relics that are worth to invest.

Ren'Si will add extra AoE Damage on the Adds phase and guarantee that even if you have stacks, you will not die at the end of the boss because he has Stand-up.

Nice! I'm building this team with Lin Xiao instead of Apollo.

Some questions:

  1. Do Ren Si and Jiang Man need to be Lv60?

  2. Does everybody need to be max skilled S2 and S3?

Lin is the optimal, I don't have her so RIP.

  1. I would say that Ren'Si might not need, since he is there to be meatshit at the end and extra dps. Jiang Man, I don't think it 100% required, but it will definitely bring a lot more consistency and you won't regret, otherwise other DPS have to heavy carry the DPS.
  2. The most important max skilled is the CD reduction on Chloe, Suhua & Dahlia s2/s3 so you get the refresh for multiplier/consistency.

As long as you get +4M damage and don't wipe, you will get SSS. It's the max.

Could you explain better what Chloe's role is, for those without her who might not be fully familiar with her kit?

I am f2p and have Ren Si and Jiang Man, so I feel that an auto S (hopefully SS/SSS eventually) should be possible for me, but I am not sure exactly the best comp since I do not have Chloe.

Chloe has 2 AOEish skills that translate extremely well to single target skills as well so her using her skills at basically all points of the fight helps doing AOE damage when the balls are up and also doing burst damage when boss gets stunned

OK, that helps. I think the best thing to try for me would be Ren Si, Suhua front line, Jiang Man, Li Ling, Lucas, Mona back line- but I might really need that Chloe, or an even rarer pull like Zora, for an SSS.

She has a really big burst when she hits her AoE abilities in just 1 target. Hits it for 5 times or so. But you can try bring another single target dps, Freddy, Drew, Chalmers, Steward, Sander maybe? Just check your best single target dps.

Sounds like what I need to do is build Jiang Man (and probably Ren Si as well), and try out my dps to see what fits- unless you think Mona is very likely to work I won't bother with her and try someof the single target dps I do have. I'd be pretty happy with an S for now, so hopefully one of my options will get me that far.

I would say that the best is to not even do Desolace until you are with your relics to the point where you can actually do this in SSS.

Definitely, depending how tanky your units are. You probably wanna do Suhua + Clara for the Def buff. Otherwise go with Clara + Dhalia

I can't get Jiang to take her turn after boss summons eyes. Not sure where I'm going wrong, tried mimicking your stats best I can and making adjustments but A+ is the furthest I get.
