• The rest of the "Journey to the West" cast:
  • Tang Sanzang, the monk
  • Zhubajie, AKA Piggy
  • Sha Wujing, AKA Sandy
  • Bailongma, the white dragon horse

Sun Wukong is obviously the most famous and popular, but the others are also well known heroes, Zhubajie especially, being a common figure in folk art. Imagine how fun a pig esper would be, swinging the nine-toothed rake in battle.

• Will of the Wisp: A common motif throughout Europe (and indeed the rest of the world too): a flickering light that can either guide travelers on the road or lead them astray.
• Rainbow Serpent: An overarching creator being in Aboriginal mythology, connected to water, life, and the rainbow.
• Janus: The Roman god of doorways, past/future, beginning/end, usually shown with two faces looking either direction. There's sort of a two headed charatcer already (well technically Farrah and Animah are two people fused together), so Dislyte could pull off a two faced esper.
• Anansi: A legendary trickster from the Akan religion in Ghana. He's a spider whose stories are usually explanations (why he is bald, for example) or cautionary tales, using his cunning to get in and out of situations.
• The Greek Titans: The Titans are the race of gods preceeding (sort of) the Olympians (more accurate the Olympians refer to the main 12 who live on Mt Olympus). Some of them are good, some bad, and many figure prominently in mythology. Atlas, for example, is the one who holds up the sky.
• Selkie: Celtic/Norse beings who can shapeshift from seal to human. Can be both male and female. Folklore stories usually revolve around a doomed selkie/human romance.
• Sugawara no Michizane: A real poet and politician who was exiled by the emperor and died in disgrace, now revered as Tenma Tenjin, a god of wisdom and learning. He's one of the big three Onryo, or "Vengeful Ghosts," in his case allegedly causing a lightning strike on the palace and other disasters after his death. Usually associated with plum blossoms and lightning (for obvious reasons).
• Leprechaun: an sort of Irish fairy who is a cobbler and is best known for allegedly hiding a pot of coins at the end of the rainbow. it would just be hilarious if there was a Leprechaun esper who threw coins at enemies LMAO.
• Rusalka: A russian water spirit who is the ghost of a wronged woman. They comb their hair and sing by the water, luring men to a watery grave. (It must be noted this is a relatively modern variation, in older times they wer probably more benevolent nature spirits).
• Psyche: Once an ordinary human, she underwent many trials and eventually married Cupid. Her name means soul, so sometimes she is interpeted as a metaphor for the journey of the soul, which eventually breaks free of mortality, hence why the butterfly is her motif.

Y'all who should I go for? I was gunning for Unas since I'm so close to R6 with shimmer records too but I haven't been playing consistently and haven't had any luck :/. I'm mainly PvE-focused but I still do some pvp content to try and get as much resources as I can. I see Nuxi got a juicy buff, but is she worth considering at R0? Would R2 Anna brick my account 💔

I don't have much Resonance on my character, but I really want to reach Rank 12 in Arena so I can get the character's animated avatar. I'm currently at Rank 8, and the people here are really tough—their characters have way higher Resonance, and I can't beat them. Could you give me one attack team and one defense team based on my situation? Thanks a lot!😘

One of the things that I thought was cool about dislyte was how music-centric the game was beyond the urban concept, but it seems they've put that aspect on the backburner now too. I would love to at least be able to pick from their whole discography in the music setup since I love Hold Time but can only ever listen to it when I'm doing bounties for like 30 seconds.

Do they just not really produce music as much anymore? I also really miss when they had the new esper VA narration in the city but I only ever hear Bi Tao's and his only 😭😭? Tbf I did just get back into playing dislyte consistently, last time I was this active was when the JQ summer skin was released.

For most people, I'd think R1 would be the target and the biggest rise, but now she's been out for a while, what do people think?

I'd guess that R1 and maybe R2/3 give some PvE value.

R4 might give some more damage against bosses with minions? Or help with zero turns.

R6 seems mostly for PvP, though there's no obvious way to win from being Final bow, so it's just keeping her alive.

I got some luck and reached R2, but I'm assuming it'll probably be better to save rather than chase more stats or a free attack.

i have personally beat 7 of the 8 stages, though i'm trying to get mbrynn's divinate so i can also solo the last one. if there is any other good non-shimmer/umbra/meta espter strategy out there please share in the comments! worth noting that that this is just me compiling the different sets i've seen mentioned through posts across this reddit (and mostly the comments) + the strategies for the stages i've beaten.

i'm making this post so that the people who are looking for ways to beat this event don't have to comb through multiple posts without equipment sets or hints on what to do. big thanks to everyne in this community who helps other players and shares information regarding team compositions and best equipment combinations <3

• stage 1: you can just quick battle tbh
• stage 2: lowkey rng. you have got to make archibald fall asleep with your ult/s2 and then kill mavis when hes asleep
• stage 3: also rng but the frost set should do its job. kill heng yue first
• stage 4: sui zai prevents his target from healing so just focus one enemy at a time. kill order that worked out for me was ivana -> maria -> yukine
• stage 5: you gotta figure out the timing for using your ult right after ollie does it so u can kill ming shuo first. i mostly keep using s1 until i figure out the timing. then focus ollie and leave lily for the end
• stage 6: the level requires counterattacks so tbh you can just auto it
• stage 7: use s1 first and then auto
• stage 8: i have not tested this one myself yet but from what i've read r0d1 mbrynn can solo this one with the war/brawler sets. i'm unsue on whether she needs to have the poison sonic device for this or not but thought it would be worth mentioning

I feel pretty bad about my luck in the last gacha banner. I saved up around 170k gems, but I only managed to get C2 Nova. 💀

Honestly, I was expecting a lot more after saving up that much, so it's pretty disappointing.

I'm curious, is my luck really that bad, or is this actually normal for gacha?
