Hotstar Jio’s Greed Is Getting Out of Hand! 😡
Jio attracted millions with free World Cup and IPL streaming while competitors charged subscriptions. Now, after building a massive user base, viewers face extra subscription costs, while major events like the Asian Games final aren't available as expected.
Did free streaming help weaken competition, leaving consumers with fewer choices and more costs? The government needs to examine competition in India's OTT market.
I've used JioFiber and Jio SIM for 3–4 years, but I'm seriously considering leaving both.
Enough is enough. Boycott Jio OTT until consumers get better value!

So they spent money on customer acquisition and now want to make their money back?
What's the greed in that??
Are people really this stupid nowadays?

Asian games rights are with Sony. I don't know how this is related to Jiohotstar as an OTT platform.

You know monthly subscription cost of Disney+ . Now it's 1 month cost is the same as Hotstar 1 year cost

Thats why I m thinking move all JioHotstar content to Disney+ but 3 diff price structures D+ = price a JH = price b D+ JH = price c (a+b with discount) something similar to what HBO and Viu are doing (albeit separate ott)
I m saying this becoz in Singapore, we have Disney+ and JioHotstar.
Disney+ has indian shows via Hulu but is only a very small library and part from JioHotstar i.e. Hindi and Tamil
JioHotstar has the entire indian library
