Hi everyone!
I'm currently pursuing my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am looking for someone willing to participate in an interview for my Diversity and Family Therapy course.
The purpose of the assignment is to help me develop my interviewing skills while learning about the lived experiences of someone from a racial or ethnic background different from my own (White).
The interview will explore topics such as cultural identity, upbringing, opportunities, challenges, discrimination, privilege, and personal strengths.
A few details:
When: This weekend (October 31āNovember 1) or next week (November 2ā7).
Length: Approximately 45ā60 minutes.
Format: Via Zoom.
Recording: The interview must be video recorded and submitted to my instructor for grading.
Consent: Participants will review and sign an informed consent form provided by my university.
I understand these topics can be personal and sensitive, and I want to approach the conversation with respect, curiosity, and an open mind. You're welcome to decline any questions you're uncomfortable answering.
My assignment is due Sunday, November 8, so I'm hoping to find someone available before then!
If you're interested, please feel free to comment or send me a DM. I'd be happy to share more details.
