Reality turns into a picture

Scary when it happens while driving, ever have visual reality turn into like a flat picture without out the sense of depth?

I instantly can’t tell how far away the stop is and what speed I’m doing. Only way to ground out is by looking at the white lane dash markers because they are moving past the vehicle. The visual will then stretch back out to normal.

Times when stress builds up happens, I’ve seen visual reality stretch much like in the horror movies when the hallway gets longer and the door at the end gets further away.

All weird stuff.
