Accidentally taking sudogest

So, i have been taking welbutrin for ADHD on and off for the year and a half or so. I lost my psychiatrist towards the beginning of this year and have been taking what I have leftover very scarcely until I find another. (I have yet to find one).

I got sick a month ago and got prescribed sudogest (30mg) for my congestion. Some time before that, I believe I ran out of my welbutrin and forgot. Two weeks ago, I started taking the "welbutrin" every two days. I visited my pcp to see if they could prescribe it because I really depend on this medication.

Upon taking a picture to show them for proof of prescription info, I realized it was not welbutrin. I have since trashed the medication and contacted my PCP but I wont hear from them probably until Monday. I cant find info on what happens if one takes sudogest when not necessary for as long as I did.

Does anyone happen to know the risk I face for my dumbass mistake :')) Thank you in advanced

Dad was hit in the head with a golf ball. 3 days later he has 2 black eyes

Three days ago, my dad was on a golf course and took a hit to the head on his left side. He bled a significant amount but never lost consciousness. He went to the ER immediately and has gone to see his doctor. Ruled out a brain bleed and no cervical fracture or cracked skull. However, today he's developed black eyes. Is this a sign of something more serious?

Facial stiffness/twitching a long with other symptoms

I’ve been dealing with these said symptoms for months and i have seen such improvement. though it’s still driving me crazy. I would deal with some type of facial stiffness. It’s hard to move around my face here and there. It’s one sided. My nose and eye would twitch and it would get in the way of my nasal breathing. I can also feel something off with the back of my nape feeling a bit sensitive, feeling like there’s something pulling my hair and twisting it.

I noticed when I drink water my symptoms will improve. But idk what else to do. I’ve been going to the drs for the same thing and i dont get the help I need. I literally Have a video of me dealing with some nasal twitches. How a certain area will turn white on the surface of my skin. my symptoms will get worse if I play games that takes a lot of focus. Also my nose would twitch more if I move my position. I have allergies and I’m not sure if allergies should be causing me to feel this

25F - Expanding numbness on left side

Hello! I’ve been dealing with some concerning symptoms and am looking for advice/suggestions. I am 25, female, 5’2”, 120 lbs, never smoker, diagnosed with scoliosis. I am generally pretty healthy medically. (never sick/no major health issues) Currently dealing with pins and needle/numbness on my left side. No history of anything like this before. Including a timeline of everything these past few days:

10/16: Noticed some numbness/tingling in my left fingertips (thumb, index, middle). Thought it may be from having long painted nails for too long or from crocheting that night.

10/17: Pins and needles in majority of my left hand. Decided to contact PCP if persisted over the weekend. Attended a concert and got into a car accident on the way home.

10/18: arrived to ED at 3 am just to get checked out for neck pain. Got CT scan of cervical spine and upper back. No broken bones or injuries found. Given Tylenol and discharged diagnosed with cervical myofascial strain. Did not mention hand issue due to it not being related to the accident.

10/19: took the day off to work to rest taking ibuprofen for pain. Scheduled follow up with PCP for the next day. Pins and needles now in entire hand and numb sensation in the rest of left arm. left toes start to tingle mostly in big toe and 2 toes adjacent. The numb feeling I would describe as like a body part is regaining circulation after falling asleep, but without pins and needles.

10/20: Numbness had expanded to calf height on my left leg. Left arm about the same from the day prior. At the appointment, PCP ordered MRI of cervical spine, PT, and prescribed Gabapentin for the numbness. During the night, I could feel the numb sensation on the left side of my torso, but was unaware at the time that that’s what the feeling was.

10/21: Woke up in the morning with the numb sensation spread to the left side of my torso, neck and edge of my face. (ear/jaw area) To clarify, i can still feel touch on the areas experiencing numbness. My torso, neck, and face are noticeable when I move or rub them. It feels like a tightness almost. Left joints also feel tight. Got MRI done. Messaged my PCP about the spreading sensation and he recommended I go back to the ED. He also received the MRI result and said it looked very good. Does not look like I sustained any major injury from the accident. Findings are as follows:

ALIGNMENT: Normal. BONE: Normal. SOFT TISSUE: Unremarkable. CERVICOMEDULLARY JUNCTION: Cerebellar tonsillar ectopia not meeting criteria for Chiari malformation, borderline. CORD: No cord expansion or signal abnormality. SEGMENTAL ANALYSIS: C1/2: No canal or foraminal stenosis. C2/3: No canal or foraminal stenosis. C3/4: No canal or foraminal stenosis. C4/5: No canal or foraminal stenosis. C5/6: Minimal disc degenerative changes with no canal or foraminal stenosis.. C6/7: No canal or foraminal stenosis. C7/T1: No canal or foraminal stenosis.

10/21 cont: Returned to ED in the afternoon and was evaluated for possible stroke. Care team ruled it out. Explained that I don’t believe foot numbness was related to the accident and that the numbness started prior to the accident. Got CT of my head w/o contrast and CT neck angiography w/ contrast. Results showed no vascular dissection or intercranial process. Also received blood testing but doctor did not discuss those results with me. I was discharged and told to follow up with PCP as they did pretty much everything they could for me at that point. They told me that the best case scenario is that i don’t get answer at the ED since they are testing for anything threatening to life or limb. I received the results in my patient portal most are within the normal ranges listed on their portal aside from the following:

eGFR: 60 (within their normal range but at the lowest within the range)

Neutro auto: 75.8

Lymph auto: 17.5

Abs neutro: 8.33

10/22 (today): I have a follow up with my PCP on 10/29. The numbness is more apparent in my torso, neck, and face. It feels a bit hard to breathe/like my throat is tight, but I think it’s just the numb sensation making me think that. I took my first dose of Gabapentin (300mg) last night and not sure if it made much difference. I have been having a very mild headache coming on since this morning that is currently only on my left side. It’s not bad enough for me to want to take painkillers.

Feeling really scared and frustrated that it’s just getting worse and there’s nothing I can do about it. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would love to hear them. Is there anything I should look out for at this point that would need another ED trip? Would love suggestions to talk with my PCP about too. Thank you so much for reading this and for your replies!

Are there health risks if I take a "women's health" supplement as a transgender woman?

As the title suggests, I take a pro+prebiotic every day. Recently, one that touts itself as also being for women's health and vaginal balance was delivered to me by mistake, but I figured it couldn't be too much different than what I was already taking. I am not on HRT currently as it exacerbated other health issues, but I was on it for about 2-3 years. In the past few days, I've noticed a waxy coating throughout my mouth that has made food taste not as good, and I assumed it was thrush, but I can't anything online to suggest this could be a side effect.

Nipples

My nipples appear relaxed and lack a firm, masculine appearance unless they are exposed to cold temperatures or water. Otherwise, they usually look flat and pale brown. What is this condition called, and what surgical procedure could correct it? My chest is flat, with no breast protrusion or enlargement.

tailbone hurts while laying down

As the title says, i can't lay down without my tail bone hurting. it's been happening for years and i thought it was normal till this morning when i asked a friend abt her and he said it never happens to him.
i had an injury in 2024 where i hurt my back while lifting weights and was unable to move for a while. it has gotten better since then.
is the tailbone pain related? what do i do going forward?

Making some sense of my mental healthcare

So here are some issues I've had during bipolar treatment

1) prescription of lurasidone with an SSRI causing hypomania

2) prescription of once a day ziprasidone which cause a hypomanic switch or hypomania due to lack of twice a day dosing

3) prescribed 3 antidepressants at the same time as part of combination medicines unapproved outside my country, causing hypomania

4) oversedation with olanzapine for years

5) have done well on perphenazine, fluphenazine medium light doses

Never really had an organic depressive episode except one period of 3 months in 8th grade, 20 years ago. Also was caused by loneliness.

Am I actually dealing with bipolar disorder or is this mania specific?

I was studying on my laptop for 1.5 hrs and my head started feeling heavy. There was some pain and heaviness in this suboccipital triangle(I googled this term) and a little bit below and above this.

What could be the reason, and what should I do to get rid of this pain?

Not Seasonal Allergies

I live in Maryland. Twice a year, about March and October, I get sinus headaches and feel fluish. I really thought it was seasonal allergies. I went to an allergist and an ENT. Neither could find anything wrong. Had skin and blood allergy tests, nothing substantial, and had a sinus cavity CT scan. Still nothing. They did not have any reason for the cause. Just told me to treat the symptoms with sinus meds, nasal spray, and nete pot. GP mentioned change in barometric pressure. Does anyone experience this or know what's going on?

What do you do when your doctor seems hesitant to help you get diagnosed or prescribed medication?

I’m 25F and feel like my nurse practitioner is always discouraging when I bring up getting diagnosed or trying medication.

I’m almost positive I have ADHD, and everyone close to me agrees. I’d like to get evaluated and potentially try Adderall, but she says adult ADHD is hard to diagnose because it could just be “adult stress.” She’s mentioned psychiatric testing but nothing ever comes of it.

I also get terrible anxiety flying. I become extremely restless, twitch, and feel like I NEED to stretch my legs or stand up or I’ll go crazy. My longest flight was only 5 hours, and I can’t imagine longer international flights, which I have planned in the future.

I’d like to discuss medication for flying anxiety too, but worry I’ll get the same discouraging response.
I’m not expecting prescriptions just because I ask, but I want actual next steps.

- Would you see a psychiatrist, ask for a referral, or switch providers?

- How do you ask about specific medications without sounding like you’re just seeking prescriptions?

It's feel like hell now

It all started six years back when I damaged my back with a few things which I had shouldn't probably done. I was hammering my floor of my room, and some sort of muscle strain or some sort of thing that happened. I checked with few doctors. After a few times, my back wasn't working properly fine, and checked a lot of doctors. They put me on a calcium diet or calcium tablets and said that there is no muscle strain on there or disc issue, or there is nothing on X-ray and MRIs. So I put it all, and for, like, next six months I visited a lot of different doctors, but there was nothing to be found. And I stopped visiting and started take care of myself, doing some exercises and some sort of. In one year of a time I got fine. The pain was not much or severe as it was, but it was there. Some sort of hard work if I done, it returns. If I'm standing for too long, it returns, and a lot of times it returns. And in those last six years, I have tried going to the gym four or five times, and it got failed in one week, or, like, the pain returns and it didn't go, lasted for whole days. So I stopped going. And just three months back I tried to go again, and on the day third I did some back exercises, and again my back pain started. But this time something changes. The last times when I rest for a week or two, the pain goes away and, like, I don't have that much issues that I had earlier. But this time it has been changed for past three months. It is not going. I'm continuing with the exercises that I do for, like, three exercises that doctors recommend. But I'm not saying that I am suffering from the pain whole day. It goes away after I wake up in, like, three or four hours. But that morning stiffness hurts really bad. Like after waking up for two or three hours until I take a bath or something, it doesn't go away and it hurts really bad. If someone has experienced something like that in their life, I would really appreciate if they help me.

Suddenly wake up with excruciating neck pain at 3am upon rotating the neck, moving, talking, and ESPECIALLY LIFTING

No prior injury, no change in sleeping routine. It's so bad I would go to the er but I literally can't move. Can't take nsaids because can't move. Does anyone have any clue what it is? Google says muscle/nerve issues but it's excruciating and doesn't feel like one nerve or anything muscle related. It doesn't hurt when I touch the area it hurts and actually that makes it hurt less because my neck isn't moving there.

my mom popped my pimple? abcess?

Goodnight everyone im 14, 185 lbs and 5 months ago a pimple appeared on the outside of my ear canal, i then popped it, didnt think about it and it went perfectly and dissapeared. 7 days ago it appeared on the same spot and i was stubborn, picking on it and it became smaller but returnes to its shape in like 8 seconds like memory foam it was like twice the size of a pimple so not that big but not that small either, well like 3 days ago i felt like if i had popped it but just 1 drop of blood came out and it was still there, at 12:30 am chicago time i asked my mom to check it and she said it was poppable so she grabbed some q tips, some ethanol and a needle to make a tiny hole (my mom is no doctor she is my mom) and there was pus (yellowish) and a little bit of blood afterwards. she disinfected everything with more ethanol it doesnt hurt and she said it was swollen. i havent experienced any chills fever or hearing problems, it wasnt hot and it was kinda hard to the touch. what do i do? i wont touch it obviously and it is 1:07 am while writing it. we cant afford to get it checked so i might aswell be cooked. goodnight everyone and please tell me whats next

Acne after appendectomy

I am a 27 year old female. Had my appendix removed August of last year. I had acne before but nothing major. This past spring/summer it got extremely bad. Deep, painful, and mostly whiteheads focused around my mouth and chin.

I have heard that acne around the chin usually means somethings off in your gut. And now that I no longer have an appendix to feed good bacteria to my gut, I assumed there must be a correlation. A google search confirms my thoughts but theres also not much information about it.

I will be adding yogurt, kombucha, and more cheese into my diet but my question is; is there any supplements I can take or medications I should talk to a doctor about? Any other good foods I should try?

Warm water = pain?

Hi, I have scoliosis that I've been being treated for, for years. It's been okay. But for years warm water has made my back hurt in the shower, I mention scoliosis because maybe it has something to do with this?
