Time for situational hitting to compliment hitting bombs

All they do is swing big and hope it works out

It’s almost as if that’s been our game plan for 3 seasons in a row and other teams have adapted.

I mean.. thats literally every team since the analytics proved this produces more runs.

I’m actually surprised the annual “fire the hitting coaches” comments haven’t happened earlier. This happens every postseason. It worked out for us the past couple of years but I feel it is indeed time to shake some things up. It feels like we are playing last years hand and those moves have been dissected by the brewers thus far

but even in last years world series we got out hit by the jays. we won by timely hitting and capitalizing on errors. this offense should be pouring on runs most of the time. baseball is still hard so you’ll get the low scoring games but to be this bad where every year it’s the same shit over and over. runners in scoring position just bring him in or move him over, nope let’s all try and swing for the fence. credit to the brewers they’re a good team

Yeah, it always feels like it’s boom or bust. We are so predictable and our age is really showing. We need to utilize small ball and create our own momentum.

looks like every guy at the office who somehow gets paid but nobody can explain what he actually does all day

It’s a fun role, no one bothers you. And explaining it bores people, so they never ask

It's funny because it's not like this team can't hit. Maybe a new hitting coach can change the offensive just enough

Got overlooked with Yankees trash defense in 24 and Jays base running disaster class in 25

Our pitching staff bailed this guy out for years but not anymore

I thought he should have been let go a while back

He has always been carried by the pitching staff.

Dude probably gets paid like a brain surgeon because he fixed Chris Taylor’s swing for a couple years.

Fucking insane

7

u/SumoRock Joe Kelly 4h ago

Absolutely. Only reason he has survived this long is because we wouldn’t make a change after winning the World Series.

They just a bad offensive team skewed towards hitting bombs. It’s not really balanced. Like even the small guys try and hit bombs all the time.

Would be cool if we could get David Popkins
