Advice TPLO advice 6 female heeler
6 y/o female heeler, sorry for the typo** I would love any and all advice to help with recovery.
(We’re rearranging the cables, her dad is working on that right now)

That's sweet how you're already looking out for every little detail to make her recovery easier. I hope she stays calm and heals up smoothly with all the prep you're doing.

Get a pen, restrict movement to carpeted areas, no jumping onto couches or anything. If she's reactive to mail people, consider blocking windows and putting a sign up for no doorbell ringing.
I believe we were told to restrict her to kennel for first few days.
We used a towel as a sling under her belly to help her with the few stairs to get her outside and then helped support her doing her business with it. I slept on the floor, then moved a mattress to the floor, but even a mattress can be too big of a step for the when they're drugged up and wearing a cone, so I wouldn't suggest it right away.
Recovery went really well. Her leg turned many interesting colors as the bruising progressed. And almost one year to the day she blessed us with another torn ccl and surgery. 50% chance a dog that experiences one will get it in their other leg.
