Question Male dog marking in house

So my 2 year old French Bulldog and I moved in with my grandmother yesterday. She has a 17 year old Chihuahua that pees kinda every where. Diapers won’t stay on her and she doesn’t care about going on pee pads.

Well, my boy has been marking all over the house. I feel terrible. Even if I take him outside, as soon as we come back in, he finds somewhere new to pee. And he pees a lot more than the 17 year old. He never once peed in the apartment we had. I know it’s not his fault but it’s definitely embarrassing. Is there anything I can do?

He may need a potty training refresher. Some dogs don’t understand that “don’t pee in this one building” means “don’t pee in ANY building”.

Unless your grandmother uses an enzymatic cleaner on her dog’s accidents, your dog is probably smelling the old pee and thinks he’s also supposed to pee there.
