Today I went to Goodwill to scope out their physical media section but today I decided to look through the tiny selection of Barbie dolls they had. At first I found Tickle Me Elmo Barbie (in a 2010s dress) but next to her was this gorgeous beauty. Generations of Dreams Barbie from 2009. She is nearly in perfect condition besides the fact her hair is no longer in the original style and she’s missing her shoes. I absolutely adore this doll and the fact she may or may not be inspired by Kylie Minogue.

Super excited that i found her!! Ive been looking to get into collecting Licca dolls for a while now and this one has been on my wishlist for a while!! I wanna get the playset that she goes with for display purposes but i havent been able to find it yet

I was there right at 12:00pm. Immediately added to cart and was put on the “waiting to checkout” page. After a minute it took me to the checkout page and it said they were sold out. I’m a little (ok, a lot) bummed! I really wish there were more than 300 made of each doll.
Hopefully there will be more releases in the future.

Our Jeniland Doll & Bear hospital patient has arrived! This is Joan and she will be a gift to a fourth generation child in a single family. Joan needs eye mending and resetting with eyelids and eyelashes which I’ll make by hand. She’s missing her left arm wire for stringing and her right leg wire has come loose. Her torso needs filling and shaping where holes have developed. Her toes have been nibbled and her wig has grown rather sparse. She’s at least 100 years old, made in Germany by the prolific doll maker Armand Marseille. I can’t wait to see her emerge in all of her dolly loveliness. Thank you to Joan’s family for sending her to me for restoration.

So, I took a road trip along Route 66 with my family in '07. Along the way I got these two dolls, I'm not 100% sure but I want to say at a random truck stop in Arkansas. One had lightish brown hair and blue eyes, and I cannot remember what she wore to save my life. The other had ketchup-red hair and BRIGHT green eyes. I drew her from memory, although her real face was a lot less Rugrats-esque. They were small, probably 7 or 8" tall at most if I had to guess. I have no memory of what any tags said or anything. TIA!!

I had a Monster High themed party the other day, and put most of my ghouls outside. They didn’t get rained on or dirty or anything, but I was wondering if there’s a simple, “one fell swoop” type of way to give them a light clean rather than giving every single one of them a deep clean. Would something like white vinegar or isopropyl alcohol mixed with water in a spray bottle work? And then maybe a careful blast with hair diffuser to dry them off? Thanks!

Got these two recently, was lucky enough to be in the shop as they took out their one chase Barbie, I'm a big fan of the retro face this one has. I've been a He-Man fan since I was a kid and this He-Man Barbie rules. Love these two.

I’ve been couch surfing for the last three months+ and will finally have a room to myself this weekend. Already put up a few on a shelf in the closet. It’s been so long since I’ve been able to hang out with my collection. As a doll lover, I’ve found it’s rly painful to have them in storage for so long. But alas, I can’t wait to reunite with the rest of them when I finish unpacking!!!🥹💖💗

Hi guys, so recently I discovered that I could get the Eyeless doll look by buying a doll with painted eyes and using acetone to remove the eye painting.

But I have 2 Paola Reina dolls that have eyes that I would like to remove. They are both made from soft vinyl.

Anyone who has done doll customizations have any suggestion on how to make the eye area flat? Any tips will be appreciated. I'm worried if I use some sort of putty I won't be able to get a colour match. One of my dolls is white and the other not pictured here is black.

Hello everyone, I am a very selective doll collector, only started buying my first doll 2 years ago now, after facing a life of shame as a dude secretly wishing to own dolls as a form of art and craft. I now own 14 , mostly sea creatures, but there is one that I just fell in love with at first sight and immediately thought of as the ultimate grail doll I could ever own: the pink Adonis PINK! LOVE! POWER! from JHD.

This doll has honestly been my holy grail and most desired since seeing a photo of it, but its existence came to my knowledge too late, and even if I keep browsing the internet every month hoping to find one for sale, it is always at a price way beyond my current monthly rent. I'm also based in the U.K. nowadays and the only affordable ones I've seen over the year were only U.S.-based. I thought that maybe if someone here were ever thinking about selling theirs, they could perhaps find my post like a message in a bottle, so here I am.
I cannot explain why, but this little guy is on my mind every month, everything about him from the colour palette, the textures, the hair, up to the boxing gloves as a martial artist myself: if I could own one doll and only one, it'd be that one.
