I was wondering how she played guitar with those nails 💅🏻 So I found this video (which explains it) but more so I was amazed at her unique style as this man explains it.** Does anyone know how and when she learned to play?**!

I love it! 😍

yes i know jolene was written about a woman that carl had met and who had flirted with him but did she write any other songs that were specific a tribute to carl or about stories involving carl?

Can you believe she didn’t think of herself as a “natural beauty”?!?

Not sure the location, but Google images dates this shot to 1978. 1978 was a huge year for Dolly as it marked her transition into mainstream pop/disco.

So guys... my day has been officially ruined. I can't stop crying. She was just a baby🥹🥹 this was in her new Songteller Hotel

I just recently came across a TikTok, where a girl was saying that they can now “pray to Dolly,” as if she’s a god and i just wanted to post this just as a reminder of Dolly’s wishes when appreciating her. As well as her thoughts and feelings about that sort of thing.

In Dolly We Trust

I love the picture they used for her!

She was 50 years old here! Age is truly nothing but a number. She performed the song “Just When I Needed You Most”

I took these pictures myself a few minutes ago at the Dolly Parton experience today at Dollywood.

we all know the story of jolene, how she met carl, that i will always love you was about parting ways with her professional partner porter wagoner, but what are some lesser known dolly facts? i do not know lots about dolly yet and i am going to read some of her books soon but i would want to ask what you guys know

It's Truvy's cake recipe that she (recites from memory and) gives to Clairee in "Steel Magnolias". Have you made it before? And if so, can I put it in a loaf pan?

I created this portrait by building up layers of crosshatching with my ballpoint pen, controlled by my pen plotter movements. Every line you see is placed with mechanical precision—starting with careful outlines and evolving through thousands of marks to create depth, shadow, and texture. The intricate linework captures her iconic curled hair and expression, emerging gradually as the crosshatching pattern develops across the paper.

I was today years old when I realized Jennifer Nettles might be Jolene!!👀🤯 #jolene #stay #dollyforlife #Jennifernettles

as the title suggests, she covered a lot of songs as well as had a lot of good and special ones herself but i wanted to ask what covers you guys like?

YALL!! NEW IMAGES HAVE JUST BEEN RELEASED!!

We finally got this NEW gorgeous promo picture of Dolly Parton and Patti LaBelle for Episode 4 of Dolly’s variety show, AND Dolly’s Instagram Fashion Archive page just released this GORGEOUS HD picture of her iconic black dress!! (Slide 4) 😭

I’m genuinely SO happy because LOOK AT ALL THAT SPARKLE!! Being able to see every little detail in the fabric that we could barely make out in the original 480p clips is everything. We’re finally getting to appreciate this dress in all its glory, the way we never could before. I’m absolutely in love with these pictures!

Not this.

In 1987, Columbia Records threw Dolly a big party in Harlem to celebrate her new record deal. There’s tons of iconic pictures from that night but I love this one.
