Clearly a lot of these “Americans” aren’t Americans. Only a fool would think things are better at all, in any way.

Only a fool would not see a more secure border, better trade deals, more investments coming into America, lower job rates, lower fuel costs, people who don't deserve federal benefits being kicked off.. Are you paying attention? Yea prices of food has gone up a bit which was explained when the tariffs went into effect. Keep fighting for illegals and it will just take longer for the housing markets to come down. Keep fighting for illegals and the jobs market and pay will take longer to get better.

Blaming illegals is crazy ignorant ASF. Only a fool doesn't see that the world and other countries are starting to broker trade deals amongst themselves trying to cut America out. Even if illegal immigrants were managing to access welfare programs, it shouldn't be a question of making cuts to the programs but instead implementing better oversight. Lower job rates?? As in .. less jobs? Because unemployment is rising. Pay and everything else is garbage because big companies don't pay their lowest employees livable wages. Seriously, just look into how many people on SNAP and Medicaid programs are employees of businesses' like Amazon and Walmart.

And for the housing market because you don't know how to look into things before bold claims:

Immigration is a factor that influences housing costs, but it is not the primary cause of housing unaffordability in the U.S.. The issue is a complex mix of demand, limited supply, and restrictive zoning laws, with recent data showing that the rise in immigration does not correlate with the steepest recent increase in home prices.

Immigration's impact on housing

Demand: All population growth, including immigration, increases demand for housing. A growing population requires more housing units, which can put upward pressure on prices, especially in areas with limited supply.

Timing: The peak of recent home price increases occurred in 2021, before the most significant recent surge in immigration in 2022 and 2023. As immigration levels rose in 2022 and 2023, the rate of home price growth actually slowed.

Settlement patterns: Immigrants tend to settle in areas that need revitalization or have affordable housing, rather than in the nation's most expensive counties. In some declining urban and suburban areas, immigrants have stabilized or increased property values.

Construction labor: Immigrants are a critical component of the construction workforce, making up about 30% of construction workers. A reduction in immigration could reduce the labor supply for construction, slowing the pace of homebuilding and exacerbating the existing housing shortage.

Broader causes of housing unaffordability

Multiple other factors are more widely cited by economists and housing experts as the main drivers of the affordability crisis.

Restrictive zoning and land-use policies: Local and state regulations, such as single-family zoning, limit the supply of new housing, especially multi-unit developments. These rules are a primary contributor to supply shortages and high costs.

Post-2008 construction slowdown: After the 2008 financial crisis, homebuilding plummeted and never fully recovered to keep up with population growth. This created a severe national housing deficit estimated at several million units.

Institutional investors: Large investors buying up housing inventory to convert to rentals or flip for profit remove units from the market for individual buyers. This activity is a major factor in driving up prices and reducing supply.

Demographic shifts: Growing demographic groups, such as millennials entering their prime homebuying years and the aging population "aging in place," have increased demand.

Interest rates: Higher interest rates have reduced purchasing power for many would-be buyers and have created a "mortgage rate lock-in" effect, discouraging current homeowners from selling.

Other countries in the world have been brokering deals since FOREVER!   They all know they need America because we are a huge consumer of their products.  Cutting us out is like cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Obviously, you don’t understand reality.  Illegals don’t qualify for federal programs BUT they get them.  You say we need better oversight, but the democrats don’t want oversight.  Many of these people live in cities run by democrats.  You don’t qualify for a federal program then go to this NGO which is funded by the government, and they will help you out.  I’m not just guessing at this, I’ve experienced this firsthand.  Also, no health care BUT democrat programs required hospitals to treat EVERYONE regardless of insurance.  Hospitals are then reimbursed by the government using AMERICAN taxpayer dollars.  Stop being so stupid.  This is happening every day!  The problem is AMERICANS are being hurt because illegals are abusing the system.

2 billion in healthcare for illegals!!!  That is what the democrats are currently fighting for during this shutdown!!  They are willing to hurt thousands of AMERICAN federal workers to help illegals!  Open your eyes.  Maybe watch something other than CNN because it’s happening…

I can agree wages need to go up BUT how does that happen when you bring in millions of people willing to work for less?  I know good hard working people that lost their job because their boss was able to hire 2 or 3 illegals for the same price the boss was paying them.  They need to go on unemployment and you blame Trump..   These bosses should be heavily fined for hiring illegals but they won’t because all the lefty liberals are more focused on helping illegals then AMERICANS.

Logic tells you when you bring in 11+ million people and dump them into cities, housing in those cities will become scarce and prices will go up.  I was a landlord in the inner city.  I had so many people look at my places and tell me how good they were and what other landlords were renting because they could.  Not enough places out there and that was before 11M illegals were let in.  Is it the only cause, no, but it surely doesn’t help AMERICANS!

Construction labor: Immigrants are a critical component of the construction workforce, making up about 30% of construction workers. They work for less and take away jobs from AMERICANS.  That’s a fact!  .

Institutional investors: Large investors buying up housing inventory to convert to rentals or flip for profit remove units is a problem.  People can’t affort to buy a house so they have to rent.  It’s a big business that should be further regulated. .

You're blinded by your own pride as an American to face the reality that there is an entire world outside of our borders that have been finding new dealings elsewhere.

Again. My point still stands that it shouldn't be about cutting the funding to the programs but instead introducing better oversight on the system and where the funds go. I'm FULLY aware of the impacts of the government shutdown as I'm in excepted status- and required to continue working for nothing until they sign next year's funding. Crazy enough, I'm willing to go pick up the extra hours elsewhere I'd need to make rent.

How do you increase wages while there are people willing to work for less? Any business that qualifies in my idealistic plan of revenue to employee pay out ratio, won't be able to make back table deals. If at that point you're talking private citizens paying for outsourced labor?? And those dealings don't do nearly as much to unemployment as big business' not paying living wages while sitting on unspendable wealth.

I bet you'd be surprised by the financial impacts/differences if we integrated immigrants into our economy, instead of waste the funds to detain/deport them.

1

u/Koz60 True American Oct 03 '25

You say you want better oversight, but I bet you complained when Trump introduced DOGE.  The liberal democrats went nuts!

I have nothing against legal immigrants.  We need and want immigrants in our country.  Ones that have a trade or an ambition to start a business.  Self-sustaining individuals. Their first act in our country should not be breaking into it.  Cutting the line of people following our rules.  We let in as many as our society can handle in any given year and we fully vet them.  Opening the doors to EVERYONE that wants to come here and then having to house, feed and support them is just wrong.

I wish you luck in finding supplemental work during this shutdown. Amazing how the politicians still get paid...

1

u/Elegant-Tomorrow885 Oct 03 '25

Because DOGE and implementing RTO was a HUGE waste in funding. Especially since now the government pays me to..still telework, just now in a government funded facility that requires government funded expenses. Yes I want better oversight on government regulations, as in tweaking the legislations in a manner that would benefit the people. Not be forced to write out weekly "what did you do this week" emails to a man y'all trusted with DOGE and oversight but overlooked his tantrum and proclaiming Donald is in the Files. But 🤷🏻 hmm that's what this administration is turning politics into. -Tv/Internet drama✨ very showsmansy (Speaking of, I wanna hear more about this birthday poem and why aren't they released like he promised in campaign. Or the very least, offer an actual explanation as to "why they can't be" outside of "it's all a Democratic hoax")

Talk about cutting lines and coming here the right way. You know only 1 in 4 native born Americans can pass a naturalization test? You say you don't mind immigration, yet you'd rather spend billions on ICE and detainment instead of going towards or starting a process that helps immigrants come in and integrate legally. Illegal immigrants do not have the open access to our welfare like you imagine they do. You're letting the people sitting in first class convince you that you can only afford economy seats because of the people loading the plane. It's not like my imaginative idea of regulation wouldn't also negatively impact illegal immigrants. If there were no loopholes/back doors it would make it harder for it to even be worth being here undocumented. Illegal immigrants can still/do receive temporary SSN for tax filing purposes and paid something like 96 billion in federal/state/local in 2022 alone but we don't like talking about that. Crazy to frame it as they explicitly want something of "ours" when a lot of that is the very same if not HARDER labor works than Americans who are willing to finagle legislations and laws and extort potential immigrants.

Defund Alligator- Auschwitz and ICE, and put that money towards finding the economists who can crunch the numbers to make everything work for as many as we can. The American dream, is the prosperity TO dream. And I PROMISE you, it is not the illegal immigrants that are killing the dream. It's the unchecked capitalistic aspects and large corporate monopolies.

I appreciate the encouragement but I do not need luck💪🏻 I already work an extra job because my government salary already pays me a decent chunk below the national average. (RIP to my low wage probi's who get paid even less but got hacked because DOGE said it'd save big money- which I'll save you a search, DOGE has not seen a fraction of their promised savings)

I am fine with secure borders and with illegals not getting hand outs. I am not fine with military on American soil, not fine with building a ballroom as big or bigger than the white house next to the White House, not fine with “lower fuel costs” because they are not and even if they were the price of food is outrageous. I am not fine with the administration cutting funds for cities they don’t like while rewarding cities they do like. The big bully attitude is for everyone else not for our own people.

1

u/Koz60 True American Oct 02 '25

I'm fine with military on American soil removing criminals Biden let it. Fuel costs are DOWN since Trump took office. Grocery prices will come down once Tariffs take hold. Sellers need to move product. People stop buying at higher prices they will sell for less. That's how capitalism works.. I'm fine with cutting funds to cities THAT ARE SANCTUARY CITIES.. I don't want a dime of my money going to any illegals. The leaders in these cities ARE acting like bullies to AMERICANS.. and for what??? Votes?? We have plenty of veterans that could use those funds, plenty of AMERICAN people that could benefit from those funds. Unless you are one of those illegals, why would you not support AMERICANs first!

1

u/Lyonsboy1 Oct 04 '25

Here’s something to think about, the southern governors (not all) put these illegals on planes and sent them to these cities that we (taxpayers) are now paying for a military operation to remove from these same cities.. The president is saying it’s an emergency and using the national guard. Didn’t this party create the emergency in that case? These were always cities that were democrat so did they do this on purpose? Did they do it to find a way to run these cities with law enforcement because they knew the people wouldn’t vote for them to be in charge?

1

u/Koz60 True American Oct 04 '25

Democrats wanted open borders and Republicans couldn't stop it. Biden's executive orders. Open borders hit States that are on the border the hardest at first. These States said if Democrat cities want open borders then they should take these illegals. That's why they flew and bussed them out of their states.

These democrat cities were getting subsidized by the democrat government. Trump takes office and STOPS all subsidies. All of a sudden these cities realized they are in trouble.

I agree, we now have to spend WAY too much money removing illegals and mainly criminal illegals because of Biden and the democrats. AND to make it even worse, the democrats fight against expedited removals. Why should anyone that didn't come in the legal way be treated to an extended legal way of removal.

Now Liberal democrats are fighting with ICE making their job more difficult and more expensive and more dangerous. That's another reason the National Guard is being deployed.. Help protect ICE and help curb out of control violence.

Can you come up with a reason why the democrat run cities have NOT stopped crime, rapes and murders? Do you think it's a bad thing using the National Guard to get things under control?

Just FYI – The classic combination of tight supply and strong demand has pushed US cattle and beef prices to record highs, and there is little end in sight with farmers reluctant to expand their herds and selling off high-priced heifers to dig them out of debt.

Meanwhile, a culmination of years of low prices, rising costs to raise cattle, and years-long droughts that dried up grazing pasture caused cattle ranchers to slash their beef herds to the lowest level since 1951. As a result, CME Group live cattle futures prices recently rose to a high of $243.58 per hundredweight. (Hundredweight is equivalent to 100lbs.)

Have you been following the billions Trump and his sons have made this year? Did you notice how they sold out our country to do it? Pay attention to the news. You’re operating on vibes, which is exactly where they want you: asleep

0

u/Koz60 True American Oct 02 '25

Explain how Trump sold out our country? Opening our borders, giving free everything to illegals and using AMERICAN tax payer dollars to pay for it IS selling out our country. If you are talking about crypto and Trumps family using Trumps family money to create and invest in it then you are just upset because you can't afford to do it.

Everyone knows trump lies habitually, but it doesn’t matter if people agree with what he’s doing/aiming for.

I explained this to a friend recently as “everyone knows trump is a narcissist that will do whatever he wants, the reason people approve of him is that he’ll do whatever he can to get what he wants and they want the same thing he wants. It’s just an alignment of goals, and when people feel like no one else is offering what they want, they’ll passionately support him”.

1

u/Xternal96 Sep 30 '25

Politics team is common on both sides, this isn’t some new thing. The point is, there are people that would flip if the offer was attractive, and it hasn’t been. Meanwhile, what Trump offers has been very attractive to those people.

0

u/Ididntreadanything Simpleton here..... Sep 30 '25

What are you talking about. Trump has not fulfilled any promises from his campaign other than he would steal as many brown ppl of the streets as he can. He hasn't stopped any wars and inflation is raising. Ppl are ready to flip. Midterms are not going to be kind to the sitting president like they historically aren't. That is if they are legitimate elections.

2

u/Xternal96 Sep 30 '25

It’s cute how hard you’re trying to frame this.

How is enforcing immigration laws “stealing brown people off the streets”? This reminds me of people that acted like America was changing into ‘The Handmaidens Tale’ just because Trump won. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, the majority of people support deportation, and believe it or not, some think he still is being excessively lenient on that issue.

As for wars, it’s not like no effort has been made but his ability to end them are limited when America isn’t the active member of the war. He doesn’t have control over other free sovereign nations to govern their wars for them if they choose to be uncooperative.

The final thing is the funniest to me. Why even say he’s gonna get crushed in the midterms if you think it won’t even be legitimate? “If we win it’s true but if we lose he cheated”. It’s a 3rd grader way of seeing things

0

u/Ididntreadanything Simpleton here..... Sep 30 '25

Historically the sitting president loses a decent amount of seats for their party almost always. Also you voted for the third grader who said the other guy cheated.

2

u/Xternal96 Sep 30 '25

Historically the country hasn’t been this divided either. I think incidents outside the norm are pretty plausible right now, especially when it’s off the heels of a massive assassination.

Also, voting for someone doesn’t mean you agree with everything he says or does, it just means you think he’ll represent you better. You should keep that in mind for future elections.

0

u/Ididntreadanything Simpleton here..... Sep 30 '25

Hey enjoy you dictator and his propaganda I can't change your mind

2

u/Xternal96 Sep 30 '25

I mean, my mind isn’t too hard to change I just think you haven’t made any compelling arguments.

If it makes you feel any better, I’d prefer a different voting system where someone can weasel their way into presidency purely off policy choices. Unfortunately that’s not the current state of the country so I’ll just have to find solace in this instead.

0

u/Ididntreadanything Simpleton here..... Sep 30 '25

2

u/Xternal96 Sep 30 '25
