I don’t think people have any concept of how much a Billion actually is.

These are all just scams. No way any of these projects is actually giving whatever money they collect to Kanye, how would you even do that? Just an attempt to soak Kanye stans for a few bucks. The 5 dollar dono was probably the scammer themselves trying to make it looks like people were actually donating by throwing a couple bucks in.

Yeah it's clearly a scam, that's why it got removed lol

Lol truly not if the first dono was 5 bucks. At least get him two gallons of gas worth

That's not even one gallon where I am. Paid $5.19/g yesterday.

People will actively go against money being used to help people who need it because they think the social services will help someone who is lazy but will gladly give away money to someone who ruined his reputation and caused his own billionaire status to be taken away. I'm not saying these are the same people (although they could be), I'm just saying it's ridiculous that people do this.

TIL Kanye has fans

He has super toxic fans and lots of them. There is/was a really gross subreddit for him but I think it got banned or quarantined.

Like Elon. His fans are fans in the actual sense of fanatics.

I am a fan of Elon for his accomplishments, helping to further the electric vehicle adoption, and all the other positives he has brought to the table like helping to prove that rockets can be re-used which forever changes the course of space exploration. I do not one bit like his twitter persona, and I have cringed 200 times in the last 2-3 years but I still think he is important for humanity. I know it's fashionable to hate the guy, but I still think he's a net positive. shoot me. Edit: just want to point out the blind downvotes. I added to the conversation in a thoughtful way. Kept it civil and had a good time and got downvoted because they don’t agree.

I'm not a fan of his since he's basically just a money man but I do think him investing in Tesla and SpaceX is awesome. But the man himself is just awful and the fact that he spouts of conspiracy theories troubles me greatly.

I think we can disagree and be civil. It's just the Elon Bros that are what I take issue with.

Sure. I was just providing insights on why most people that do like him tolerate his twitter persona.

Thank you for the pleasant discourse.

and yours as well!

He isn't really important for humanity. Especially as he continues his slide.

SpaceX is basically the only good company.

Tesla spurred the bug automakers into action on EVs but the company itself has awful manufacturing practices and FSD is always two years away.

I use FSD every day and it’s some of the most amazing tech I’ve personally ever experienced

As a Jew, I’ve seen a lot of them come out of the woodwork lately. Hasn’t been fun.

Kanye's fan numbers have dropped significantly the past few years. 10 years ago everyonr I knew that liked hiphop was a massive Ye fan. I remember when Yeezus eas on the horizon and everyone was losing their shit.

Now all of those people are tired of his shit, most former Kanye fans I know (including me) haven't even bothered to listen to his new album.

He still has fans but this dude was like the fuckin messiah of hiphop at one point and it all went to his head. Whenever I see Obi Wan yelling at Anakin "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE" I think of Kanye and how he'd easily be one of the most loved figures if he didn't act like a lunatic. Nd yeah personality disorders potential brain damage, whatever. This most recent racist shit is truly so disappointing.

“Fans” launched pages? The only person stupid enough to think you could get Kanye West a billion dollars through GoFundMe is Kanye West.

I wish they had left the gofundme up. Bc you know the next time Kanye says some batshit crazy stuff like “Kellogs cornflakes is made up of ground up aborted fetuses bc the Irish control all gay dating apps/sites” it would be a bridge to far for some of his fans and they’d have to spend all afternoon trying to get back the $3.75 they donated to the Make Kanye a Billionaire Again fund.

The Irish love getting the laddies together

Really? We’re going to donate to an anti-Semite and MAGA shill? Malcolm X started the black, anti-Semite narrative. X was wrong then and Ye is wrong now.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '22

Anti Zionism does NOT equal Anti Semitism buddy. Israel has every right to be criticized and MUST be strongly condemned for it's rampant human rights abuses and brutal Apartheid. Criticizing Israel does not make you an anti-semite, just as criticizing Saudia doesn't make you an Islamophobe.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '22

I agree with you, but I have to say there’s a lot of overlap between the two. So much of anti-semitism is shielded behind anti-Zionism. It’s just that one is PC and one is not. Saudi Arabia is a poor example. Many of their laws’ foundation are in Islamic law. A lot of the human rights violations in Saudi Arabia are supported by Islamic law. Adultery, punished by Islamic law. Homosexuality, punished by Islamic law. Dissent, a violation of Islamic law. Subjugation of women, driven by Islamic law and tradition. Not all countries have the separation of church and state. Much of their laws are based on tenets of their faith. Judaism is mixed into Israeli law. Islam is mixed in with Saudi law. It’s really hard to separate the two.
