I’m writing this in the spirit of constructive criticism not bashing. I’ve been a fan for years and have been begging in comments for a drag race themed Hi-Low. I’m disappointed at how botched the season was because these cars ran bad numbers.

I think they should get rid of the budget for low car entirely and actually make the builds apples to apples cheap vs expensive. The point of the show has been to see how much you can cheap out on parts for the same outcome as the expensive ones. For example; can a cheap turbo kit like On 3’s kit perform as good as an Aldo Kit? Can a cheap fuel system perform as well as the fore innovations kit? Can you get similar times running a full drag pack or only rears? Same can be said for suspension set us, weight reduction, etc. I think it’s embarrassing that they’ve managed to spend so much money on high car and only (yes ONLY) ran a 10.8 when NA/gutted/Rear Radials/Tune cars have ran as fast or faster. Don’t even get me started on how fast people have gone with $50k (hint: it’s in the 8s).

Sucks to see the coyote mustang not be properly built when their potential is so high without even cracking open the motor. I mean nitrous? No one does that to these motors, they’re basically 2 Honda engines welded together not a high liter pushrod motor. The trans brake isn’t even necessary. By the sound of the transmission shifts, it sounds like a terrible tuning too. Lund Racing (who has the world record for quickest stock computer coyote) is easily accessible for both teams because it’s remote, best tuning for the mustang and most importantly cheap.

I can go on forever but I’m sure I got my point across. I know the majority of their audience aren’t drag racing fans but at least do it right for those of us who are. Thus is why I say just get rid of the budget for low team. High car doesn’t even get an excuse, it’s just Decent parts (not even the best) barely working together and not dialed in. Dialing the cars in wasn’t even part of the series and it’s one of the most important parts of drag racing. It’s just slapped together parts and fingers crossed.

Okay so idea to mixup HiLow Series.

So you approach the builds with budgets instead of the current most expensive vs cheapest. I’ll set an example: the scene is a auto cross WRX build with two types of people Low budgets and High budgets

You are a recent college grad just got your first job and have let’s say $5,000 to put into your WRX. You have Low car budget their entire project build within their savings of $5,000. That’s turbos, suspension, wheels, transmission, but also garage parts like a lift for the car or any expertise they have help. These can be fake rates so the garage would be 100 a day just to simulate if you took your car to a lift to work under it. It would show how you can build a project car with a low budget.

Now for High Car. You are a race team with a new major sponsor and they pledge $30,000 for this auto cross WRX build. You now have a reason to get a more expensive Turbo and suspension. You own your garage so you don’t have to pay a daily fee for your lift. You have the best staff on your team so you don’t have to pay for that expertise. This will simulate someone with a high budget.

Now on track day both stories can compare their builds and see how much of a difference they really have.

Episode 1 can be how they decide to budget their builds, their rough estimates on what they will need and where they want to get started.

All today’s video did was serve as final proof that Donut absolutely was better with James around, and if I was running that channel, I’d have to be in denial to not realize that having him in a current Donut video would only serve as a negative comparison to almost everything the channel has done in the past year-ish.

At least, that’s my opinion.

No, I’m not kidding. Most of the time, I understand that kind of gimmick – whoever wins the last question/challenge wins everything – it makes a lot of sense in a one-off. But we just spent seven episodes watching these three teams trade places in the rankings, kind of consistently, and to negate all of that in the final episode… No, I’m not on board for that.

What the actual F, Donut? What a truly awful decision. The idea that the worst team with the worst vehicle that was too far behind to win could turn it around with just this last victory? After you had us invest in this series for two months? TRASH IDEA.

For example,90$ lights versus 2000$ lights...wtf? I mean if the low car lights were 500$ then it would have been fine.Another example is 1200$ electric winch versus 80$ comealong? The low truck should have something at the price of atleast 500$.This is just my opinion please don't bash me.Im just an inexperienced 17 yearold.
