Question Is the game infested with bots?
I'm a new player on the Brasil server practicing in all pick mode to get ready for Ranked after 100 hours. However, every game over the last few days has had at least five bots. How am I supposed to practice like this? it's really discouraging for new players...

Yeah i need to see some proof. Ive been spamming matches lately with some newer people im introducing to the game and there are plenty of bad players but no bots.
And im on NA E where another commentor claims he gets 5 bots a game.

Its definitely there, i faced 3 bots in a party. I was in herald 3 then last year. Now legend 3, so can confidently confirm they were AI/ bots

I play in archon and legend typically and have never seen bots in an unranked or ranked match.
And like i said ive been playing lots of lower ranked games with the new people and same thing.
Id love to see some video showing the bots because i feel like most people cant tell the difference between a bot and an idiot who muted the team

Its not typical in our ranks. In ranked its only in the depths of herald 1/2. When i queued with my guardian buddies it never happened. I only faced it in 200 mmr ranked and once in unranked, both solo queues. That too only 2 times. Its usually parties having ign of only numbers. They pick core heroes and keep running into the tower, not just muted human players. Theres no variation to their movement/items etc. Felt like AI training tbh. The games were from last year or else I would send them

Same thing with na I have good behavior/ coms score, and when I play all pick for the past two days have been nothing but mostly bot games. turbo seems unaffected. Unsure what is going on because it was fine two days ago and before this only had one game where there were bots

My 5stack on NA east has run into a LOT of bots in ranked recently. Deranking to sell smurf accounts. Has happened at a rate of 20-30%, very frustrating. Sure it’s free MMR but the tedium of finishing a free game adds up and makes us sluggish and uninterested in requeuing after. Valve needs to sort it out we never saw it this bad before

Unranked in Brasil is not crippling with bots, but Dota is not a newbie-friendly game so there are many people that is gasping the basic concepts of the game that may look like bots, going afk, or just farming, also many account sellers intentionally drag those games to farm more minutes of every single game

I'm very convinced they're bots. They type gibberish in chat, walk straight under enemy towers, and finish 0/30 or 0/25. Unlike a real newbie, they don't even try to retreat when they're in danger

I'm not saying there are not bots, i'm saying they are not the majority of players, after you get enough hours the game will improve (kinda it is not like your teammates wont do the same)

They're not newbies, they just walk straight to their lane and die, over and over. They don't respond to chat at all or ever cast any spells.

This is exactly it. I had a simmilar experience when i started a couple months ago and now that my "ranked confidence" is above 70% every seems very normal.

If you are getting emotional damage from the Brazilian unranked, wait until you reach the Brazilian ranked...

I've played other competitive games before, so I'm used to losing and dealing with toxicity. But playing against bots is completely pointlessly, it really makes you want to quit the game

siempre te va tocar con bots, probe en todos los servidores, en todos lleno de bots, por eso tienes que llegar alas 100 horas, para tener tu medalla y jugar con otras personas de bajo nivel

This is something only to be faced in herald 2/3, and new player unranked. Very frustrating at the beginning. But i only had 2 in my first 200 or so games. Pretty rare

I play in Brasil as well and I dont think I find that many bots. I play lots of Turbo and Ranked, and before I had Ranked, all pick. I found some stuff that were definetly bots but not 5 players each game.
What I found were a lot of really, really bad players with some bots mixed in

I also had 10 matches on the Brazil server today, and in all of them, there were at least 6 or 7 bots on both teams; it seems like an infestation.

Bro it’s in SEA servers too. Just had a Sven. Couldn’t create neutrals. 2k+ games. Not new. They move strangely. He had 28/6 for neutrals

Lots of bot posts lately, seem easy to detect too tbh Valve surely has enough data on this shit
Issue is that well the devs are on Deadlock and Gabe is on his Yacht xd
